Helio Castroneves Wins ‘Dancing With the Stars’

The 2007 Dancing with the Stars winner is Helio Castroneves and his partner Julianne Hough. This marks the second year that Hough has brought her partner to the top. Her winning partner from 2006 was Olympic Speedskater Apolo Ohno. Congrats!

This must be such a huge disappointment for The Spice Girls. Can’t win ‘em all, I guess!

Mel B. and Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in second. Marie Osmond and her partner Jonathan Roberts were eliminated within the first 15 minutes of the show.

Helio, 32, is one of the top North American race car drivers. He won the Indianapolis 500 in 2001 and 2002 and took second place in 2003.

Julianne and Apolo Anton Ohno won in May 2007. So Julianne won twice in the same year, not in 2006.

i didnt even watch this season
but there was so much publicity
for it bc of mel from the spice girls.
that i knew what was happening..
i thought for sure mel would win..

and that sucks for the ppl in
the west coast.. eeeeeh.
jj you ruined it for them!!

CONGRATS TO HELIO!! =) He was a great sport, always smiling and fun to watch. I liked him throughout the competition and I am happy for him. Mel B was great too, and I am glad she made it into the finals. Now she has the spice girls tour ahead of her and many good things.

Helio deserved win. I thought he was way more exciting to watch than Mel. Plus, unlike Mel, he had no previous dance experience.

I THINK THEY ARE LIEING ABOUT THE VOTES, I COULDN’T GET THROUGH TO MEL B NUMBER, SO I BELIEVE SHE WON

MEL B WAS THE BEST DANCER!

HELIO CAN’T DANCE - I AM EXTREMELY PEE OFF - HE ISN’T EVEN AS FAMOUS A MEL B, COME ON - REMATCH!

Congrats to Julianne and Helio - they were terrific, always fun to watch. Julianne is an awesome dancer and really brings out the best in her partners. Sorry….I disliked MelB from the start so I’m very glad she didn’t win.

I’m on the west coast and it’s 9:05pm. glad i found out who won, now I won’t watch it. Mel should of won. I can’t believe it….going to go watch some HBO

first thank goodness marie didn’t win
second, I love saying helio’s name
third I’m happy he won because he had the least dance/entertainment experience, he came thru it with a good attitude.

Congrata to Helio who I hear is a classy guy.

Mel B is almost a professional dancer. She was fantastic. Just like Sabrina. But too professional.

Athletes fan base have more people than entertainment fan bases.

Atheletes have done well in this show.

So only one woman has won this huh?

Marie shouldn’t have been in the finals, Jennie should have. But oh well, it’s only entertainemnt and not so serious. The top four did really well.

I’m happy for Helio. He was so good that he made the dancing seem effortless.

Now Mel B can start her Spice Girl tour now in very good physical shape. She just had a baby 5 months ago and needed to drop the weight and get in shape for her tour. It’s all good.
