Helio Castroneves Wins ‘Dancing With the Stars’
The 2007 Dancing with the Stars winner is Helio Castroneves and his partner Julianne Hough. This marks the second year that Hough has brought her partner to the top. Her winning partner from 2006 was Olympic Speedskater Apolo Ohno. Congrats!
This must be such a huge disappointment for The Spice Girls. Can’t win ‘em all, I guess!
Mel B. and Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in second. Marie Osmond and her partner Jonathan Roberts were eliminated within the first 15 minutes of the show.
Helio, 32, is one of the top North American race car drivers. He won the Indianapolis 500 in 2001 and 2002 and took second place in 2003.

My favourity too. Mel B is a show woman. he is the one who has NOTHING related to dance and proved can be Good.

Hmmm, it seems that all the male sports stars win in DWTS. Emmit, Apolo Anton and now Helio. The one time that there was a FEMALE sports star (Stacy Kiebler on the second season), it was Drew Lachey who won. It seems that there is a gender bias, and the one time that actually a woman won (Kelly Monaco during the first season), they had a rematch with the first runner-up because her win was contested, and John O’Herlihy won the rematch. It seems that women, no matter how good, can never actually win this thing. That sucks!

Consider who is voting…lonely fat housewives. It’s pretty clear then why sexy women won’t win and why stupid Marie went so far. I have never voted for this show just watch it for it’s entertainment value. I voted monday. FOR MEL B. She was fantastic.

this show is awful, im never watching it again, every season they do the same thing and pick a mediocre dancer…. why do they even have the 3 judges who supposidly are experts on dancing if the votes that really count are the publics???..the only votes that should count are the judges votes cause they are the one’s who know who dances better and what not…..i mean helios not a terrible dancer, but he wasnt the best… the final show shoulve been between mel b. and sabrina!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mel should have won, didnt people vote for her??? I hope they did, because even though she isn’t American, she is fantastic. Watever that silly cartwheel thing they did in that dance looked like it belonged in a Circus. They sucked and he is Cheezy.Im upset by it :-(

All you west coast people, stop complaining and whining about spoiling it. Move to the East Coast and get over it! Yuo knew whne you moved there or when you were old enough to tell time that you were late out there. Get over it and BTW: Mel was straight up robbed!
Helio was the only one on that show who didn’t seem so desperate to win. He was all about fun. People picked up on that and voted for him, plus he’s very good. Marie ruined the top three. Jennie Garth should have been in the top 3. Mel B was great and she gave great entertainment.
I think someone mentioned that Stacy Kiebler was the only woman athlete but Laila Ali (boxer) placed third on the last DWTS. I thought she was just as good as Mel B.
Congratulations to him. I won’t lie I wanted Mel To win but I think he made tremendous progress was very entertaining and it is a good win for him

Marie should been gone a longggggggggggggg time ago. Yea, they had to dig Donny out of the has been pile to host on ET to give Marie a leg up. But, too badddddddddddd, it did not work. Haha.

Yeah okay people. Mel is a Spice Girl, she DANCES in videos. Helio is a RACECAR DRIVER. He deserved it. He definitely came the furthest.
Helio was good, but he didn’t deserve it like Mel did. She worked her ass off and did a damn good job, too.
I wanted Mel to win! Wasnt a big fan of Helio…
MEL B was by the far the best dancer and she should have won. Everyone keeps talking about how she is a dancer, but just because you are a hip hop/pop dancer doesn’t mean that you can do ballroom dancing so this was brand new for her just like it was for the other contestants. She has a striking personality, she’s classy, keeps it real, and is very talented.
