Sandra Oh’s Writers Strike Speech

Grey’s Anatomy actress Sandra Oh, aka Dr. Cristina Yang, gets fired up while giving a speech at last Wednesday’s Hollywood Labor Solidarity Rally.

If you don’t know what’s going on with the writers strike, listen to the Oh’s speech. Basically, The Writers Guild of America went on strike three weeks ago over payment for work aired on the Web. Writers are seeking their fair share of revenue from six media conglomerates: Disney, Viacom, GE, News Corp, Sony and Time Warner.

On a good note, WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers are closing in on a deal. Something should be in place by January 1, 2008.
