Jake Gyllenhaal is a Football Player
Jake Gyllenhaal will be playing Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath in a feature film, according to Variety.
Exec producer Jimmy Walsh believes that the ‘athletic Gyllenhaal is the right actor to play Namath.’
While other quarterbacks racked up bigger lifetime stats, Namath became the first football player to achieve rock-star status. The pic will tell the story of how the golden-armed kid from Beaver Falls, Pa., became Broadway Joe, the New York Jets quarterback who became a ’60s cultural figure.
Jake, 26, is currently shooting the Jim Sheridan-directed Brothers with Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman.

Others think he is gay, true. But Ted is the only one proporting to have “inside” information about it. No others have sources telling them that Jake is gay. They just report what Ted had initially reported. Ted Casablanca is the only one claiming to have sources telling him that Jake is gay. I doubt dlisted has any sources at all. Some web sites, like that, just take what’s in the news and attach their snarky comments to it.
My question is how did Ted get so lucky? Why do other tabloids and gossip columnists not have sources offering similar information? Like I wrote, perezhilton was the one who broke the Jake/Reese relationship. Is perezhilton the type that would cover up for a closeted Hollywood homosexual? From what i’ve seen, Perez usually takes the lead in “outing” such people. Yet he clearly believes the story between Reese and Jake is real. He seems to believe that Jake is straight.
