Matthew Perry is Zac Efron… Really!

Matthew Perry will play a grown-up version of Zac Efron in the upcoming teen comedy 17, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

17 will be directed by Burr Steers and produced by Hairspray’s Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot. Leslie Mann will play Perry’s wife, reportedly named Scarlett.

The film follows a middle-age father who wakes up to find he’s 17 again. In order to be close to his children, he enrolls in the same school as them.

Production begins early December 2007. That’s next month!

Zac Efron is way too handsome to play Mathew Perry. Mathew Perry and Jennifer Aniston were the ordinary slighly ugly ones on Friends. Aniston had her funny chin, nose and close together tiny eyes. Perry has no chin.
