Ashley Tisdale performs double duty at the 2007 Annual Rockefeller Center tree lighting ceremony in New York City on Wednesday night. The 22-year-old High School Musical star co-hosted the event with former boybander Nick Lachey and sang “Last Christmas” and “Suddenly,” the fourth single off her debut album, Headstrong.

The sequin dress worn over the layers, is really cute! The negative comments attacking Ashley are extremely immature. I’m more offended by the self rightious and disgustingly juvenille critiques of a person most of you have never (and probably will never) meet or know.
I saw that the most negative comments were from people who felt inclined or driven to “defend” Vanessa. I’m sure it’s annoying to read the bashing of your “idol”. With that same token you “defenders” of Vanessa cannot force people to accept,love, idealize,like, or even stomach her.
I guess taking the higher road and simply letting people say and think what they want about whomever is just too hard for some of you? As long as you fans of Vanessa continue supporting her in whatever other endeavors she attains, why do you care so much about who doesn’t like her?

I don’t understand why this 22-year old girl is still singing like she’s 8 in an elementary school talent show. Speed it up a little, and it sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks. The last little bit of “la la la la la la” at the end when they not so subtly turned her mic on so she could talk, was abysmal, and she didn’t even SAY anything. I guess with enough production on the track, anyone can sound good. Why they’d pick this girl is a mystery to me though.
So what if she did lipsync during this preformance. She is still an amazing singer and actress. Are any of us living her life or doing her job? I don’t think so. The girl can sing, If you don’t like her then why are you even in a thread about her? If you don’t like her then it’s cool, but don’t come to a thread about her and bash her. She’s probally living the life most of you only dream about. And btw: New York in Dec is totally cold. I’m not even kidding. If she was to sing live it most like would have sucked cause of how cold it is there.

Ashley’s perfomance was awful… It was obvious that she lip-suny and that she was trying to hard when she obviously can’t dance that well. Ash is a great actress, but she should leave the singing to Vanessa Hudgens.

hoochie dancing for a christmas song. and let’s not only talk about her horrendous voice and shed some light to her lacking dancing skills. that was just wow! britney always lip-synched but at least she was an amazing performer.

Whats up with you guys ?!?!? You obviously DONT care about Ashley so why are you on here reading this ? Seriously, you have nothing better to do with your pathetic lifes except talk and HOPE for Vanessa news *and what did Vanessa do during these 2 weeks except go out with her BF or workout etc.*.
Look at Ashley… she’s doing her best and is trying really hard. She’s famous for being herself and not like Vanessa cause her boyfriend is cute-Zac Efron !!! I know that Vanessa is famous for being in HSM and everything but Ashley is going out there (she just finished her mall tour BTW and that is not pathetic! Its a great way for permotting her new album!) and is going a movie (called Picture This) beside HSM 3 (which didnt really start filming yet but yeah…). I just dont understand why you guys are dissing her just cause she lip synced once or twice ! I guess you guys didnt see her on Good Morning America, TRL and Regis & Kelly, she was actually singing LIVE and I think she did great. Go to YouTube.com and see it for yourself. I here I say it again, just because she lip synced this time it DOES NOT mean that she does all this time. Maybe this one’s a hard song so she couldnt do it live or something. You dont know maybe she has a reason for it. Maybe they forced her to do it? We will never know but dont diss her because of it. And YES alot of singers lip synced so its not just her !!! So get a life Vanessa fans…(I’m NOT a Vanessa hater, I like her she’s nice and everything but her fans are getting on my nerves !)

she’s horrible
she never really sings live, and when she does it’s pretty horrible. the end was what really gave it away, when she sang along with the background music and then barely moved her mouth when she was supposed to.
but who cares? it still sounds good (except when she did actually sing a few words), and it’s the holiday season. give her a break!

ok. after watching this video to the end. it’s obvious that ashley was singing live and the nbc dubbed over it with her original track. you can hear it at the end when she’s singing, “la la la” and says, “happy holidays.” so we shouldn’t judge because we weren’t there to hear the real thing.
