David Beckham Pimps Himself Well
David Beckham rubs noses with New Zealand native Ritihia Hailwood as he arrives at Wellington Airport on Thursday in Wellington, NZ. (Rubbing noses is a traditional greeting by the Maori, the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand.)

On Wednesday, the David Beckham promotional tour continued in Australia. Becks pimped the Motorola RAZR phones and “David Beckham Intimately Night” from the Beckham Fragrance line with TV host Richard Wilkinson.

I am kind of tired of David, he’s doing way 2 many things, all the publicity this guys gets will make him overrated , what am I saying, he’s already overrated. He did shi*** at the LA Galaxy, David is just a hunk running about on the field because as a player he kind of sux. It’s not actually rubbing noses, that’s Inuit — it’s actually more of a pressing of your foreheads and noses together to share breath.
Though diplomats have, in the past, gotten totally flustered and kissed Kiwis on the tip of the nose. Hee.

There is nothing to do with teeth (they are normal) and tatoos…do you people judge someone because of teeth…sick.
David Beckham is kind person,great sportsman and a perfect model for the children.
He doesn’t do drugs or alhogol,doesn’t smoke or club every night,doesn’t drive without licens or has different women every day…so shame that in our trashy world to be good,polite and kind is wrong and not “hot”…
Beckham :Good father & husband, happy family, rich, handsome, good athlete with special skills, healthy man (doesn’t do drugs/alcohol/smoke), nice person. They hate him because HE’S TOO PERFECT AS A MAN!!!!

Besides, it’s not as if he begs for the attention–these things are set up and the whole reason for his (and the Galaxy) going is to promote soccer in Australia and NZ, where, like America, it’s not one of the most popular sports.
He has labelled himself an ambassador of the sport, and give him tons of credit, he has gone out of his way to do everything he’s been asked: interviews, promotions, attending games and events.
I don’t think it’s fair to judge his time at the Galaxy on half a season when he was injured for most of it. Not his fault to be off with injuries; that’s the reality of professional sports.
Moreover, he’s proved himself over and over as a player in his entire career. Is he the best in the world? No. But he’s great at what he’s great at–set pieces and crosses. He can still work magic, and, more than that, he inspires his teammates.
Beyond that, considering the public behaviour of most sports personalities, I would be glad to have my kids admire Beckham who, however rich and famous, has a lot of class–not the guy who will have tantrums and diva-demands or put down peeople in public, even those who disparage him.
Truly, what’s not to like about the guy?

jus wanted to say that as a small country we are grateful when superstars like david beckham take the time to do media and sign autographs for fans, he spent an hour an half yesterday signing autographs at the airport when he arrived in nz, which we think is awesome. The team was given a powhiri (maori welcome) an hongi (rubbing noses) is part of that process your also suppose to touch foreheads at the same time but most people that havnt done it before miss!! so if its done properly you touch bout the middle (not tip) of your nose an forehead together. your sharing breathe an knowledge when you hongi anyway thanks David and LA galaxy for being so gracious and respectful.
