OlderReese, Angelina Lead List of Highest-Paid Actresses
Reese Witherspoon ranked number one on The Hollywood Reporter’s annual list of the highest-paid actresses. The 31-year-old actress commands $15 million to $20 million a movie.
Angelina Jolie came in second, and Cameron Diaz came in third with a $15 million-per-movie requirement.
While Angelina and Reese are now asking for $15 million-$20 million per movie, they frequently agree to “no-quote deals” — deals in which the studios actually pay them far less than their usual fee (usually when they take on supporting roles).
Here’s The Hollywood Reporter’s top ten list:
1. Reese Witherspoon — $15 million-$20 million
2. Angelina Jolie — $15 million-$20 million
3. Cameron Diaz — $15+ million
4. Nicole Kidman — $10 million-$15 million
5. Renee Zellweger — $10 million-$15 million
6. Sandra Bullock — $10 million-$15 million
7. Julia Roberts — $10 million-$15 million
8. Drew Barrymore — $10 million-$12 million
9. Jodie Foster — $10 million-$12 million
10. Halle Berry — $10 million

Jennifer Aniston, is the most profitable actress with a gross income return of £8.50.
Angelina Jolie, ranked sixth with £7.50.

Hey, twin, if actress hit 40, they don’t ask that much anymore.
Any of these actresses can play any role that’s called for in a movie that is why they deserve their salaries. They are beutiful, talented and reliable. They have face and name recognition all over the world and most of all, they have staying power. Those are the marks of a star.
Michael Douglas is going to get upset at Catherine again cause she didn’t make the list. He was said to have berated CZJ for not going for roles taken by Nicole Kidman. I do think Catherine is a good actress though. She can sing and dance too beside act.

All the money Reese invested in her PR and image is paying off. Too bad she’s a total phoney.

To put it straight, Rendition made $15,903,253 WORLDWIDE. If she charges $15-20m at that return rate, the STUDIO will lose money.

Oh yeah, if X was that profitable, why didn’t she ask for a raise ? I don’t think the big studio bosses were that dumb paying all these top 10 actresses that much if they are not that profitable.

#51: You didn’t understand the ranking on Forbes. It’s money they bring in for the budget. Your idol had low budget movies that is why the share was bigger. However, it’s not going to be same ranking next time cause she’s hardly asked to be the lead anymore. She’s been reduced to just being one of the gals (ensemble roles like Friends) and straight to video films.
Better savor this year’s lists. Next year is gonna be a b.itch for you trolls.
cameron diaz does Not deserve to be paid that much. same for Reese. There are so many other real actress who make excellent movies and deserve more:
Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Penelope Cruz, Cate Blanchet, emily Blunt, Annette Bening and so many others.
Reese is a good example of the over-rated actress - over-rated in every single aspect.

#68: rosy, ITA on Cameron. However, because of Shrek and Charlie’s Angels she got her name and face plastered all over the globe (her stint with JT didn’t exactly diminish the luster on her star either). Plus, she can do musicals and comedies, dramas as well as action. More important though, she’s got appeal with the kids. They think she’s cute and funny.
As for performance, have you seen her in Gangs of New York? She can’t do period films and her acting is limited. I forget the poster that brought this up but I agree with her when she said that if it was Angie in that role, it would have been a killer.

Reese got $7 million for Rendition.
She was terrible in it and should stick to brainless comedies.
