OlderAngelina Jolie is 33rd Smartest in Hollywood
Angelina Jolie recently made Entertainment Weekly’s “The 50 Smartest People in Hollywood” list, coming in at #33. She’s one of the youngest actresses to make the cut with 58-year-old Meryl Streep at #6, 45-year-old Jodie Foster at #30, 38-year-old Cate Blanchett at #45, and 28-year-old Sarah Polley at #49. Here’s what EW had to say:
Angelina, 32, is smart because… “she’s discovered the real value of fame. While keeping fanboys happy with films like Beowulf, she uses her celebrity superpowers for good. Continues to travel the globe as a U.N. Goodwill Ambassador, the world media in tow, but this year she put her values on screen, too, delivering one of the best performances of her career as Mariane Pearl, widow of slain journalist Daniel Pearl, in June’s A Mighty Heart.”
Angie also picked up the Good Penmanship Award because “she recently wrote for The Economist, alongside fellow contributors the Dalai Lama and French president Nicolas Sarkozy.”

Back Stage: Do you still study acting or work with coaches?
Jolie: I used to work with my mom. She was the most amazing support for an actor. She used to write letters to my characters. For Girl, Interrupted, she bought me the hand puppet that I ended up using. If I’d do a sexy role, she’d buy me perfume. She always read the script, made a bunch of notes, and wrote these letters. She was a great person to talk to about things, and she loved the process so much. So now I suppose I try to hear her voice in my head.

I get a feeling from the Angelina’s comments about her mom that they probably talked almost everyday. I’m sure Angelina misses her very much.

The fact that a seemingly impressive source makes an utterance, does not necessarily make said utterance profound. Hallmark’s lawyers can pontificate in their client’s interest as much as they like. That’s their right. their job. As its said in ‘Desiderata’: “even the dull and ignorant, they too have their story.” (btw, i subscribe to that notion, hence my quoting itm with approval.) for the person who said the jolie-pitts are in hiding because of the Zahara story..please, this story came out 2 years ago. SAme story, same person, no evidence found to be true. Same story except the supposed bio mother told a different story about where she was working AND said Z’s birth name was different that time..PLUS she claimed to be 18 , now says she was 24. She aged 6 years in 2 years time? other things dont make sense either.
The jolie-pitt’s go underground practically when in la, it has nothing to do with that stupid, lying intouch story.
I don’t understand why people continue to take up for Nicole. Tom and the church are not the law and they couldn’t keep her from her children if she really wanted them. She recieved joint custody and over 100 million dolllars in her divorce settlement. Not only that but she has said repeatedly that she didn’t want to divorce Tom and that they still talk. She also sees her children but just a few times a year. If she truly wanted her children, she would have a house in L.A. and she would actually be a mother and stop lying about living with them in Nashville.

You see, poverty isn’t exactly their thing. They have huge bank accounts. No vow of poverty for them. If the church wanted to cut Nic out of the kids’ lives, they have to power and resources to do that, believe me.
