LFL according to Wagner according to Wall Street had a financial structure that didnt hurt the studio because they knew from the beginning LFM a political movie(I call it antiwar movie) is not a blockbuster like the rest of the war and political movies are after post Sept.11. But Cruise,Wagner and Redford still wanted to make the movie because they feel its important and someday it will still be of resonance.
Redford said no studio wanted to do LFL except Cruise and Wagner.

And I don’t think that she refused to go back to the role she played in Batman Begins— I believe, they replaced her with Maggie Gyllehaal for other reasons. But I think she got fired.

The fact that cruise chose LFL as his first project as head of UA proves that he has no business sense and will drive the studio into the ground in no time flat, given that his nazi movie will bomb also.

You clearly have no concept of how things work in the business.
Being that UA is a newly relaunched studio, they have no reserves to fall back on. LFL will never show a profit…THAT IS HOW PEOPLE GET PAID…..DUH!!!

It also influences how people perceive UA as a studio to do business with. With film number 2 sure to be a flop (and more than likely will not show a profit either) tc will be hard pressed to continue to find people to work with or who want to take a chance to invest in UA when it’s guaranteed that no one is going to get paid
