OlderShots Fired Near Brad & Angelina’s Home
Don’t worry, they’re safe!
According to Life & Style, gunshots rang out shortly after 4 a.m. on Nov. 27 — just 25 feet from where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie live with their four children in Los Feliz, Calif.
The gunman fired two shots, striking a Range Rover owned by a local resident and hitting the driver’s side window of a camper van used by Brad and Angie’s security team. “It was crazy,” neighbor John Martinez said. “If anybody had been in the car, he or she could’ve been killed.”
On Nov. 29, one of the couple’s bodyguards — a man who identified himself only as Brett and often sleeps in the van struck by a bullet — looked stunned as he inspected the damage. “I’m doing fine, but I don’t want to talk about this,” he said.
And while police declined to comment, officers arrived on the scene minutes after the shooting, neighbors say. In the days after the incident, several unmarked police cars could be seen patrolling the perimeter of the sprawling Pitt-Jolie compound, while two blacked-out SUVs were posted at the main gate.
“The atmosphere has changed all of a sudden,” says one local resident. But Brad’s rep says Brad and his family weren’t the targets of the shots. However, the resident adds, “You can tell their security guys are on high alert right now.”

This is very worrying. The shots were so close to their home and their security seems to have been a target. I wouldn’t put this past some of those psycho haters out there. Hope they’ll continue to be safe.

people are so dramatic!! just beacuse it was a vehicle in the Brangelina team, doesn’t mean some nut job is trying to kill them. I didn’t find this story too spectacular. Seemed like the only reason anyone cared was because it was a celeb. Normal Americans deal with this stuff all the time and I don’t see them wanting the SWAT Team to come protect them. Maybe Brad and Angelina are finally getting a dose of reality in America. Violence is widespread and people have to deal with it all the time. I cannot even tell you how many murders have happened within 10 miles of my home. It is reality!

I think Brad’s rep did say it happened (it was on E! News this morning), but they don’t know if it was random, any motive, etc. I am sure L&S tried to provide an answer (probably lies), so I am with you Lady G. I will wait and see what the final results are before believing anything.

Jody Foster never attempted to parlay Hinkley’s actions or his mental incapacity into publicity for herself. In fact, the whole topic was completely off-limits. It was a dark moment in her life and mercifully, the press and media at the time recognized it and treated it as such.
But now, every bit of bad behavior and misconduct can be parlayed into celebrity. ___ may not encourage it, but I do question whether ___ would conduct herself in a manner similar to Jody Foster if, heaven forbid, someone who claims to be an admirer, does something to ‘defend her honor’. I wonder if there would be a media blackout, meaning no Oprah, no Leslie Bennett VF exposes, etc. And given than many of the tabloids have taken it upon themselves to defend ___ would they sit it out, out of respect or as a possible deterrent against copycats, if something tragic happens? It’s not necessary. Because as the truth said, the family was in LA for Thanksgiving, not Missouri. And for weeks, Angelina said that she couldn’t cook, but she would take a crack at it, at her home. Anyone with some fckuing sense knows not to let a non-cook loose on a Thanksgiving dinner, especially when the person hosting the Thanksgiving dinner, has cooked the dinner forever, especially, if the non-cook has enough clarity to know and admit that she can’t cook.

Angelina Jolie has signed on to star in a film based on the life of Kathi Lynn Austin, whose adventures in arms trafficking and terrorism will inspire an action thriller vehicle for the actress and humanitarian.
The pic is being produced by Jolie’s manager, Geyer Kosinski.
It is being described as a female-oriented Bourne Identity, and Kosinski and Jolie are hoping it turns into a successful franchise like the Matt Damon films.
This is cute and all, but Angie’s been there and done that.

ANDERSON: Welcome back to SHOWBIZ TONIGHT, TV`s most provocative entertainment show. I`m Brooke Anderson. Tonight, Brad Pitt is speaking out like never before about being a father. Pitt was in New Orleans for his “Make It Right Foundation” and sat down with CNN`s own Larry King in an exclusive interview.
Earlier today, I spoke with Larry about Brad`s revealing chat where he really opened up about raising his four children with the love of his life, Angelina Jolie, and pledging $5 million of his own money to building homes in New Orleans. Take a look.

ANDERSON: This is really a huge exclusive for you being with Brad in New Orleans as he launched his project, this project to eventually build more than 150 homes. What did Brad share with you about why this is so personal to him?
LARRY KING, HOST, “LARRY KING LIVE”: Oh, there`s so much to see. When it airs tomorrow night, it is really incredible. He is so, Brooke, passionately involved in this. It almost overwhelms him. He`s not doing any films. He`s not scheduled any movies. He`s totally involved in this rebuilding the ninth ward which is like a war zone.
I`ve never seen anything like it considering how long ago Katrina happened. That this still exists in this country is a blight in many areas and what he`s trying to do is correct it, to make it better. And the way he makes it better is to enlist some of the top architects in the world and build new homes and move people into those homes. A lot of people back, former people of the ninth ward who live in Houston or Tuskegee, Alabama, to move them back.
So I would say, Brooke, he is totally committed and that will come through. You`re going to learn a lot about Brad Pitt in this hour.
ANDERSON: It`s incredible. What`s even more amazing, Larry, is that Brad is putting his money where his mouth is, $5 million of his own money into this. That`s pretty remarkable. We know he has deep pockets but, still, that`s very, very generous.
KING: You`re not kidding.
ANDERSON: What did he tell you about that?
KING: $5 million is $5 million. He feels that you sort of put your money where your mouth is. If he`s going to come forward - one of the ways you come forward is if you have the money, you put the money up.
He`s had a long love affair with New Orleans that I didn`t know. He lived there since 1992. He did a film there in `92 and then bought a house. So, he`s lived there 15 years. So he`s had a strong commitment to the city and he thinks what you do with a commitment is you back it up.
ANDERSON: Quite a connection to New Orleans. And in your exclusive interview Brad also really opened up about being a dad to the four children he`s raising with Angelina Jolie. Let`s take a listen to that now.

KING: And how do you like being a father? It`s the hardest job in the world.
PITT: The hardest job in the world? The most rewarding job in the world. There`s something to - we`ll put long days in here. We`re up since the sun comes up, and to go home and have dinner with your kids and have to discipline one of them who is out of line and still have the energy for that is - I can`t explain the fulfillment of that but it is everything.

ANDERSON: Larry, I know that Brad told you he and Angelina want to expand their family. Did you get a sense that`s going to happen sooner rather than later?
KING: Sooner rather than later. He`s 44. He`s not going to let too much time - I wouldn`t be surprised if they went to five, six, seven kids. He loves kids and he loves being a father. I think that came through in just that little piece so, yes, I would expect that they`re going at it right now.
ANDERSON: They seem like devoted parents. And he also opened up to you about when he and Angelina first met and what their life is like now. Take a listen to this.

PITT: Well, that came after. That came after. But she is a woman of strong opinion, very specifically and a great voice. I respect it. A great intelligence.

I am really, really getting tired of the entertainment media these days.
It’s like no matter what, even if there’s a celebrity out there ( even other than Brad and Angelina) who are doing good, they would still rather focus their attention on Britney, Paris and the rest of those ADULTS who act like JUVENILES.
What’s so entertaining about them and their sexually deviant behaviors?
Especially at this time of the year!
At this time last year the media was hellbent on focusing on Anna Nicole Smith and they used her so much even after she died a month later that it was more than just tragic exploitation. It was downright inhuman and sociopath of the media to focus a woman’s fall with cackles.
I didn’t really gripe as much about Anna N S and the media because she created a caricature of herself… but can’t we, the viewing/listening public get a break from these “entertainment” stories at this Holiday Season?

One of the TV reports of the shooting in Los Feliz showed another car parked ont he street that belonged to a neighbor. That car had been shot up quite a bit. It seemed like it was the target. The alleged Pitt security team member’s vehicle had only one bullet hole - perhaps a ricochet hit.
The Pitt proeprty has a number of houses on adjoining property that are technically on 2 different streets. The Pitt homes that are used by the fanily are not near the street. So I doubt this was that close to the actual family home or even the modern one they use as an office.
In any event, though I don’t think this was targeted at the JPs, those who contribute to stoking the flames of hatred against the JPs by sponsoring and adding to Jolie-Pitt hate sites on the internet or persons who allow the public to believe that Pitt was some kind of villain in his divorce arguably bear some semblance of responsibility for any attacks against the JP.
Ms. Aniston could have resolved any misinformation about her divorce by including in her many statements and indirect snide remarks about it, a very direct and simple statement that Pitt was not a villain. I think she said a number of things that would lad you to believe this but many of her fans and JP haters are plain stupid and apparently need a statement that hits them over the head.
Wasn’t Mr. & Mrs Smith a romantic comedy? Wasn’t that just out in 2005 - 2 years ago?

Brad Pitt is looking forward to expanding his family with Angelina Jolie.
“We’re just getting started,” he tells Larry King in an interview airing tonight, CNN reports.
Pitt, 43, also calls Angelina Jolie a “fantastic” mother to their four children: Maddox, 6, Zahara, 2, Pax, 4, and Shiloh, 1.
“Dedicated, kids first,” he said of her. “[She's] really inventive and great fun to them and very, very protective.”
As Pitt has said before, he also would like to do less acting. “It’s become less and less a focus as I get older. I think it’s really more of a younger man, younger woman’s game,” he tells King.
The family is in New Orleans to launch Make It Right, a project to build affordable, environmentally friendly housing in the Lower Ninth Ward. They also plan to spend Christmas there.

hey guys, i have been reading the various comments, and will put in my two cents worth. let me first preface by saying that i am a huge jp fan. if this incident was caused by some crazes fan of x, i will not say that she is directly responsible, but indirectly, hell yes. as brad said recently, he was sure all the hoopla would have been over a year ago, but because of jen’s actions at the time of the divorce, and consequently her statements of survival and coping, have fueled the ongoing hate and drama. i am almost certain that if x had not allowed such an inflammatory article to be printed in the first place, all this would have been done with. so she is partly resposible for the continuing hate, and probably god forbid, worst. there are crazy people out there. also, she will, through her publicist, deny stories about herself all the time, but when it is something regarding her, and puts the jps in a bad light nothing.
ironically, i came across an old People magazine recently, it was from 2005, and just after the VF article, and the caption is somethig like “jen walking tall”, and it referred to the article, and brad and angie. there is a picture of her smiling,and it shows someone who had a vendetta, and was sure that the article would destroy bard and angie and she would come out smelling like a rose. too bad i backfired. i understand someone being angry at the demise of a marriage. i can even understand someone being hurt to see your ex with someone else so soon after, but to try to destroy them when she knew the problems her marriage had been having, was unconscionable. i am not trying to continue beating a dead horse, but i am trying to show the poster jessie, that the jps fans have seen and read so much hate directed at them, that it is completely understandable if the are suspicious. i do not hate jen, i just do not respect her for her passive agressive tactics.
cam, i am replying to your post at #152, it is ironic that you posted that story about james’s license plate with a variation of shiloh’s name, and that you thought it was cute, as did a lot of people. well on popsugar recently, it was posted and deemed creepy. and oh, did the haters have a field day. the alledged make-out kiss between angie and james was cited over and over. no matter that these two people have addresed this incident and have explained it, nad no matter that any decent person can clearly see that it was not a passionate between lovers, but a kiss between siblings who love each other dearly. i was not a fan of angie at the time, and i remember wondering what all the fuss was about.
the reason for my long post is just to say that i can understand why fans of this family are skeptical and defensive. we have seen and read all over these past two and a half years, nad nothing will surprise us when it comes to hatred for jps. i am proud to be called a FAN OF BRAD, ANGIE and the LITTLE JPs.

LARRY KING: But what was it like? When you are getting emotionally involved with someone you are working with …
BRAD PITT: That came after, Larry. That came after. But she is a woman of strong opinion and very specific beliefs and a great voice, I respect it, great intelligence.
LARRY KING: Fight a lot?
BRAD PITT: No, not really. Challenge each other a lot. Have good fun with that.
On his children:
BRAD PITT: They’re as much my blood as I am theirs. And they are brothers and sisters. And I look at this. One of them came from Ethiopia, and one from Vietnam, one from Cambodia and one was born in Namibia. And they are…they are brothers and sisters. And they have fun, and they squabble and they fight, just like any other family.
LARRY KING: And they’re all the same to you.
BRAD PITT: It makes me so proud.
On fatherhood:
LARRY KING: And how do you like being a father? It’s the hardest job in the world.
BRAD PITT: The hardest job in the world. The most rewarding job in the world. There’s something to - with the long days in here, we’re out here as soon as the sun comes out and to come home and have dinner with your kids and have to discipline one of them who is out of line and still have the energy for that is - I can’t explain the fulfillment of that but it is everything.
On his ‘Make It Right’ project: (a housing redevelopment in the lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA):
BRAD PITT: OK. This is what we are calling the adopt-a-house campaign. It is part art installation, it is part act of social disobedience, but it is really meant to work as a fundraising component. And we were looking for something that was loud and would get a lot of attention, that was also hopeful. So what you see here is, as you see these blocks scattered across this section of the Lower Ninth, to represent the houses that were destroyed, the homes that were destroyed. And what we are hoping to do is, as a house gets adopted, this is going to be up for five, six weeks, five-and-a-half weeks, as a home gets adopted, we will right that house and we will put it back on its foundation. So hopefully this will be an art installation that will be constantly evolving. And by the end of this — by the end of this five-and-a-half weeks, we hope to have a symbolic neighbourhood put back together. And that is the goal.
On practicing environmental conservation and sustainability in his own lifestyle:
LARRY KING: Has this affected your interest in this, your own lifestyle. The fact that you practice this?
BRAD PITT: Oh yes, oh yes, sure. I’m putting in a water capture system in our home in L.A. right now and incorporating solar. And yes, I think it is really exciting, this idea that we can insert ourselves into the ecosystem, this idea that within nature there’s no concept of waste is mind-boggling to me. Anything that’s discarded becomes fuel or becomes food for something else. And that we can be — we can be living that same way.And then, you know, it just sounds smart to me. It’s fun. But on top of that, sounds respectful to the people around us, respectful to the world. And then you want to get into the politics and dependence on oil. It’s a no-brainer for me.

I never saw Clooney’s performance so I don’t know how deserving he is of an Oscar. I know there was and apparently still is a real hard push for him by Warners which seems to be working. From what I’ve seen and heard I think a nomination is likely. A win that’s another story as I’ve been hearing buzz around Daniel, Javier and now Depp. Johnny isn’t my cup of tea, but I think he has real talent and range when it comes to his acting.

For me, the haters reached the point of no return when they spent the better part of Monday criticizing Brad’s efforts in NOLA. I remember how the haters metaphorical stroked all of those celebs who worked the phones during the telethon and dissed Brad and Angelina for not participating in the telecast. Two years later, where are the ones who worked the phones, because we know where the two major stars, who were no shows, are right now.
And regarding Ted C. and he supposed knowledge of BA, again haters, why are you taking such store in his opinions now when, before he was Uekered out of an invite to the O13 premiere, he was on Scarborough Country trying to convince Scarborough that ‘Brad and Angelina’s love is the real thing’? Maybe as the people make their comeback, the levees could be strengthened at the same time.
And as for the emotional affair, we will also assume you have never been in love or that anyone has ever been in love with you because how in the heck do you stop somebody from falling in love? It’s like trying to stop you from being stupid! Didn’t you know that this emotion is spontaneous and not a concious action? So Brad is human, so is Angie. Falling in love comes at you like lightning sometimes so what can you do? It’s not as if they acted upon it as soon as they knew. I believe them when they said they waited until he was free from his ex before they pursued this action.
And FYI, if your emotions are already engaged, if you are already very much in love with somebody, it’s safe to say that it’ll be difficult for another to take away your focus or attention.
i would rather not see angie or brad SUPPORTING ANY CANDIDATE especially angie, i like her being neutral and leave the politics to others. i don’t believe in politics, motsly it’s greed and power. i do questions the sincerity of the politicians and tht includes obama. maybe he can convince some or most black voters , the fact tht he is black. truthfully, i don’t care wht race is the president as long his/ her intentions are clean. though realistically, politics is a ditry, politician to politician trashing each others or showing theyre smooth move to convince people. i hvn’t any politician running tht is worthy to become president and i guess u will never find a real sincere to politician, most are self-driven to power, prestige and fame as I AM THE PRESIDENT OF AMERICA! there’s no good presidential candiadtes out there , tht i can trust.

Angelina Jolie, who was distanced from the espionage game as Matt Damon’s wife in last year’s The Good Shepherd, plans to jump feet first into the spy ring for an upcoming move.
The actress, 32, is set to star as real-life intelligence operative Kathi Lynn Austin in what Paramount plans to be a Bourne Identity-like action thriller about arms trafficking and terrorism, reports Variety.
In 2004, Austin was one of four experts selected to monitor the United Nations embargo prohibiting weapons flowing to militias in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to the U.N. News Service.
Other field missions in which she worked for the organization were in Europe, Southeast Asia and Central America.
The Hollywood trade paper also reports that the plot will be based on a fictionalized version of a real-life figure, the Russian Victor Bout, alleged by many to be the world’s most successful dealer in unlawful weapons

I think the only 1% of truth in this story-If there is any of course- is that the incidents happened in Los Feliz. Until now the tabs hadn’t even realize that the JPs have moved in Los Feliz since last year. They were still printing that they stay in Malibu. So now all of a sudden they figured out where they live?? LMAO!!
Nobody knows if this SUV is used by the JPs or their bodyguards. There is no proof about it. And Mickey (Brett) is not working with them in the US and he is certainly not sleeping in the van. The man has a family of his own. It’s just another LIE!!

A day after actor Brad Pitt stood near the once-collapsed levee in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward and issued an open call for contributions to his Make It Right rebuilding effort, $211,000 already had rolled in via the project’s Web site, executive director Tom Darden said Tuesday.
The money, given by more than 2,500 donors, exceeded the average $150,000 price tag that planners have attached to each of the houses, which by Pitt’s specifications must be sensitive to the environment, storm-safe and beautiful. It arrived on the heels of more than $1 million that was contributed by several donors in advance of Monday’s unveiling, Darden said.
In addition to those gifts, Darden said organizers have been in talks since Monday with several major donors.
“We are also pursuing several larger potential contributions, but the lead time is obviously longer on those. Therefore, the Web site total of houses sponsored at this time is slightly deceiving,” he said in an e-mail Tuesday, referring to an electronic ticker at the site, http://www.makeitrightnola.org, that showed that donors had sponsored seven homes so far.
In announcing Make It Right in September at a meeting of world leaders on global warming, Pitt and philanthropist Steve Bing each pledged to match $5 million for the project. In the days after the Clinton Global Initiative conference, attendees committed $2 million more, though about half of that has not been received, Darden said.
Initial plans call for Make It Right to build 150 houses on the same lots in the Lower 9th Ward where participants’ old homes once stood, a nod to the theme of correcting injustices exposed by Hurricane Katrina.
But in unveiling the project Monday, along with a massive art installation at the site that features hot pink blocks representing the new homes, Pitt said his initiative could support construction of as many as 100,000 houses across the Gulf Coast if enough money is raised.
“This doesn’t have to end,” Pitt said during an interview Sunday. He has mentioned St. Bernard and Jefferson parishes and New Orleans’ Central City as possible Make It Right venues in the future.
As of late Tuesday, donors to the Web site had made 1,626 cash contributions and, through a creative twist on Internet-based fundraising, had “sponsored” 880 products, such as programmable thermostats, energy-saving washing machines and low-flow shower heads, that will be used in construction.
To select design elements, which range from a $5 compact fluorescent light bulb to $45,500 for exterior landscaping, donors take a virtual tour of a Make It Right house and click on items to check their price, then create an electronic shopping list of their preferred products.
“We were certainly hoping for such a positive response from individuals willing to make cash contributions, but we’re especially excited about how many people chose to sponsor sustainable products like Energy Star appliances and compact florescent lights,” Darden said, adding that organizers hope donors will use the site to learn how to reduce energy consumption in their own homes.
Pitt has stressed that the homes are not “freebies.” With house prices pegged at between $100,000 and $174,000, planners expect participants to cover a portion of the cost with insurance and Road Home proceeds.
But they expect that most homeowners will fall about $70,000 short of paying off their new homes. To fill the gap, Make It Right plans to offer forgivable loans of as much as $100,000. Applicants must have owned a home or lot in the Lower 9th Ward before Katrina.

I like NK also, and think she is a good actress. TomC totally controlled their divorce and the children’s custody, she has been an adult about all of it, and keeps the details of her life with TomC pretty private. She has not whined nor sought sympathy nor sought to turn the public against TomC or Katie, and sent congrats when Suri was born. Would that Brad and Angelina had been so treated by a certain person. I think the main difference was that NK and Tom had children together.
If a shooting incident did happen it is just what happens all the time in the US with everyone having access to a gun. I believe that the Los Feliz home they reside in is set back from the street in a gated area, and that some type of construction is taking place there (Brad mentions this in his LK interview). Who knows who was shooting and who they were shooting at if this is true. Look at that football player shot and killed in a botched robbery attempt in Florida, a 17 year old is the shooter, who shot through a closed door.
Life can be awfully fragile and should be fully treasured. This is a fact that Brad and Angelina appear to realize and live by.

The National Board of Review, which will be held on Jan. 15, is a lovely event, in part because everyone knows who already won. And that’s because they were announced today. Although the results aren’t terribly predictive in terms of the Oscars, it does get a witless monkey like the Bagger typing and speculating. So, without further ado, witless monkey speculation.
Although the NBR’s selection of George Clooney may been seen as assuring that there will be a member of the A list at their event, few would argue that his inhabitation of a conflicted Manhattan lawyer/fixer was anything other than an example of how a star can turn down the wattage and, in the process, amp up the performance.
When will this die down; the jealous of Brad being with Angie. Couples separate all the time. This jealous needs to stop and let these two live their life with their family! Any other couple would be ok by now, three years should be enough!!!
This is suppose to have happen on 11/27/07. Nothing from Brad about this. Why is it taking this long to hear something?
It seemed to me that the haters are consumed with their apparent hatred for the Jolie-Pitts that when they read articles about the $211,000 donation they all thought that is all the money raised.
That’s only for 1 day collection from people. There are money raised from private donation from people like Donna Karan, etc. So it seemed haters jumped the opportunity to bash the effort without reading the whole article or maybe the haters really have difficulty in comprehension. I would not surprise at all.

First off, the speculation was that if (note the word, IF!), if a fan was responsible for this…get it now? When all is said and done, JJ’s is a bit like the tabs, in that you will read a lot of the same stories here as in the tabs, except you don’t have to purchase it, and the news comes to you instantantly. He has to make money, just like the tabs, so, as with most things, you have to take the good with the bad. Some threads that are truly distasteful, like the one with the woman who claimed to be Z’s mom, it was too nauseating to give it any hits.

also, a few threads back when people were all boasting that johnny depp was the man, cool and all…i think they are quite young and uninformed.
i like johnny and his movies. i really think he’s talented and i’ve enjoyed most of his movies ever since i watched edward scissorhands as a young child.
it was the first sad fairytale of sorts that i saw.
and i’m also a fan of tim burton movies, but to make my point:
johnny hasn’t always been mainstream.
the pirates movie franchise and disney’s advertising has made him the neutral image that he is today.
before that he was a disturbed druggie who also like to bash the american government and its policies and then hid in europe in some island and became sort of a recluse… and then he also found a sense of purpose in family.
i kind of like his partner, vanessa paradis, and all their eccentricities.
i even like that fact that they have their own style, but people need to stop comparing them to brad and angelina.
it’s like comparing two shades of gray.
no matter how you pitch the two together, they still won’t be the same so it’s of no use to compare.
besides, i think both couples are compatible because of their difference from the rest of us.
they also seem to balance each other’s significant partners.
