Inmate loses bid to hang Aniston photo

MADISON, Wis. - All Jevon Jackson wanted was to hang a picture of Jennifer Aniston in his room. But because his room was a cell at a Green Bay prison, the warden wouldn’t allow it. Jackson took his case to federal court, where a judge ruled Wednesday in favor of the prison — but offered the inmate advice on how to get a picture of the TV and movie star.

Jackson, a murderer, ran afoul of the state prison system when he ordered a commercial picture of Aniston, who starred on the television series “Friends.”

The prison has a policy against inmates receiving, and thus displaying, commercially published photographs. It adopted the policy in 2006 because of the increasing volume of mail — some 1,500 pieces of mail a day, according to prison officials.

The commercially published photos often contained nudity or other forbidden content such as gang symbols, officials told the court.

Jackson, 30, argued that his First Amendment rights had been violated. He also said it didn’t make sense to disallow commercial photographs but at the same time allow magazines that could contain hundreds of images.

Inmates are allowed to display pictures of non-celebrity friends and relatives, as well as photos published in magazines. Neither Jackson nor the prison said there was anything inappropriate about the photo he wanted to display.

“That’s good,” the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote in its unanimous, and somewhat snarky, opinion.

In it, the judges wrote: “In 2000, Aniston sued ‘Celebrity Skin’ magazine for publishing photos taken of her while sunbathing topless in her own backyard!” The three judges also identified Aniston as an actress who appeared in “several forgettable recent films.” They named a couple: “Rumor Has It” and “Along Came Polly.”

The appeals court said the prison’s policy was reasonable — and Jackson could always get around it by ordering magazines.

Even though Aniston may not be in every issue he subscribed to, the court said, “the likelihood of an eventual photograph of her is sufficiently high to suffice as an alternative.”

Jackson had argued a commercial photo would be less trouble for the prison than if he had to order several magazines to find the one picture of Aniston he wanted.

A spokesman for the state prison system referred questions to the state attorney general’s office, which handled the case. A spokesman for that department did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

Jackson was sentenced to life in prison for murder in the 1993 killing of a woman who had just left a Milwaukee fast-food restaurant. He was 17 at the time of the murder.

Ok, I channel surfed through to Fox and Friends earlier and they were talking about that guy who got denied from posting a picture of Aniston on his cell and Steve Doocey(?) said something along the line of “…so you’re on death row and you want to stare at a picture of her for the rest of your life? Her?”.

Brad and Angie seem to have a very special and strong bond and in complete agreement as to how they should live their lives and raise their kids. They also have a purposeful life with a great concern about the welfare of humanity and social justice in the world. They realize that humanity is one and that all races are equal and that we are all here for a limited time. So they try to make a difference. Their life philosophy is reflected in how they live. They see the whole world as one country and the mankind as world citizens. They take great pride that their children are all from different parts of the world..so different and yet the same. They create this unified world vision in their own family with the hope of adding more kids of different backgrounds to their lovely family as to tell the world: see it can be done. We can all live together and love each other and be united as family…as the whole world should be. Now there are many people world in this world who have this same world vision, but when such powerful, extremely attractive, and seemingly blessed people such as Brad and Angelina do this to create this kind of family and also do their best to help the rest of the humanity, it really gets attention and gets people thinking. I think what they’re doing it praiseworthy and very admirable.

Haters are trying so desperately to find cracks and plant lies in their heads to ease their pain. Brad’s interview with LK and generally all of Brad’s and Angie’s interviews throughout 2007 have revealed what a strong bond and commitment they share, how much they love and admire each other and how content they are with their life together and their plans for the FUTURE!!

These are the facts that the trolls will never accept and deal with them. They will continue to believe every tab lie they read and ignore everything else that goes against their delusions which means Brad and Angie’s words and most certainly ACTIONS!!!

It really sucks to be them so all I want to say to them is to move on before it’s too late.

BTW - Brad said that on Okra, which was May 3, 2004. Not 10 days later, May 13, 2004, on Charlie Rose Brad said he and X didn’t understand each other and didn’t want the same things.

X herself said she knew the marriage was over by the Summer - summer begins in mid-June.

Ya know I remember about 3 years ago (right after vanity fair) the majority of the media and public was pro aniston. It it wonderful that everything has come full circle, Brad and Angie are a family of 4 and getting respect and air time for issues that matter. Even when they showed pics during the interview, Angie was always looking directly at Brad full of love and admiration in their eyes. She loves him but also respects him. Respect, there I think is the difference between Aniston and others. Aniston image of Brad seemed to be shaped by the public and how her career was going. Brad and Angie has been through a lot. I find that through all the hate thrown by team aniston, Team Aniston is now thought of as a joke, Fox news joking about her, the judges in the yahoo story. I find it amazing members of the goddess circle aka sam, tigger, style etc. Have failed her, what good has all the pity and people choice awards done for her. What?

That’s because X is the living embodiment of the analogy, “Familiarity breeds contempt.” The more she put herself out there as a victim, the more people treated her like one until they realized - she’s in a misery of her own making. Whether the “wouldn’t have a baby for husband” angle was true or not, THAT is how people have grown to view Aniston - as a woman who put herself and her career above family.

The MVM will only take so much of a woman playing the scorned woman. But when it becomes obvious how much the ex-husband, who everyone agrees is a nice guy, is happier than he’s seemed since before he met his ex-wife…then they can’t deny that there must have been something wrong with HER that she couldn’t make him happy or be happy with him. Once they become familiar with her personality and motivations? History. She’s a pariah and nobody wants to seen with the town pariah. Let’s just hope that she and Huvane don’t find a way to weedle their way back into the good graces of the American public.
