Eric Bana @ AFI Awards 2007

Aussiewood star Eric Bana wins the “Best Lead Actor” award for his work in Romulus, My Father at the 2007 AFI Awards at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre on Thursday in Melbourne, Australia.

“I’m jet-lagged but very excited to be here,” the Aussie actor said as he arrived. “It is a real thrill (to be nominated). It’s a great bunch of blokes I’m up against, especially to be up against young Kodi. He’s incredible.”

Bana’s costar Kodi Smit-McPhee (pictured) picked up the “Young Actor Award” while the movie itself won “Best Film”

This guy can do no wrong in my book. He has so much charisma and talent as an actor, he’s beautiful to look at, and he actually seems like a great guy. His wife is beautiful too.

I want to see this movie now!

He is such a nice guy. He is not good looking in the “classic handsome” sense but in the “gorgeous, omigosh look at him” sense. Give me Eric Bana ANY day of the year. He is a slice of heaven.

There’s no doubt - EB and Hugh Jackman both come across as nice, down to earth, totally NOT up themselves guys, and both seem entirely devoted to their wives (how many Hollywood actors can you say that about? - not many). No wonder they are friends in RL.

HJ has the best body? Well he certainly has the most muscular body at the moment (I guess in preparation for the next X-men film) - too muscle bound as far as I’m concerned.

They’re both multi-talented, but EB is a much better actor IMHO (check out Chopper, Romulus and Munich, in particular). I haven’t been impressed by HJ’s performances in his non-Australian films.

Let’s be shallow again - face-wise, sorry but HJ can’t compete with those gorgeous eyes of EB’s.
