Zac Efron @ ‘Seventeen’ Set
Zac Efron takes a quick break to eat between takes on the set of his new film Seveteen in Southern Calif. on Wednesday.
The 20-year-old Seventeen star was seen shooting a backyard basketball scene as his character Mike O’Donnell, so this pic is his actually movie costume! The film tells the story of a 36-year-old man, in need of a major life do-over, who wakes up in the body of a studly high school senior.

Lizbeth, some people point to their kuuipo rings as a sign that they are in love, even though when asked, Zac said commitment was way too weird a word for him (good for him….he’s still sooooo young!). I’m a skeptic. I believe they care immensely for each other but I don’t think they are committed to each other exclusively. They are both too smart to limit themselves at this young age.
One more thing Steph and NJ, why is it that nost days people will take what they are told and/or read to heart, but they can not trust their own hearts and minds.
When did most people lose the ability to think for themselves?

I really don’t get this publicity business I really don’t. I would probably go along with if if they really did was go out for smoothies and yogurt together. But the pictures of their Hawaiian vacation showed they shared much more then that. In fact I have a feeling when those pictures were published the Disney execs probably winced. Not because they showed anything explict or inappropriate but just because they clearly showed a level of intimacy between Zac and Vanessa that Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez (their “HSM” characters) would never be allowed to even DREAM of on film.
Plus I doubt very much that the Disney execs weren’t too thrilled at the prospect of the stars of their hottest cash cow going off on a unchaperoned vacation by themselves Not that could stop them since both Zac and Vanessa are legally adults and as I’ve said before this is not the 1930s fortunately and the studios no longer have that kind control over the private lifes of their stars.
I think part of the reason why this “publicity” thing still exists it that Zac and Vanessa are pretty much as “UnHollywood” as a hot young “Hollywood” can be. They don’t frequent the trendiest nightspots, they don’t hit all the big events. If this was all for publicity you would think they would be sure to do.
I just think when you look it logically its filled with more holes then a Mt. Everest-sized hunk of swiss cheese. So as I said before I really don’t get it.

I agree with Karen too in regards to cynics. I think lisbeth and all the other skeptics just hasn’t seen most of the photos and vids that we’ve seen. V and Z did not show PDA for so long and during the HI pix, you can tell that they did not know the cameras were there. But prior to that, even in New York when both were out shopping together, knew that the cameras were following them and they did not hold hands.. As oppose to the HI pix when they were not aware of the camera’s… tons of PDA there.
Just because there have been rumors of actors using romance as a means for career building, doesn’t mean all are. These two are young and in love :) Young people fall in love all the time, life and love is still fresh to them.
This is getting to so ridiculous. aren’t people entitled to their own opinions without others ganging up on them…why do all zanessa fanatics and dreamers like to assume that everyone will think on their same level…this is honestly like a bunch of sickos insisting on just one frame of mind…people have different thoughts and perceptions and you don’t have to almost kill to insist on your way…
You people are totally pathetic and I hope that you guys will still remain a fan if Zac and vanessa will run away with someone else…

Well, said, Troy. IF only people would read the posts maybe some would see the light. When it comes to publicity do the naysayers think Zac and Vanessa signed a contract after the first HSM filming that said they promised to be seen together a little more each month making people and fans believe they were a couple until all possible HSM movies were finished? They fell for each other pretty quickly after meeting each other and they had no idea there would even be a HSM2 when they started dating much less all the hupla that now exists. Unfortunately, some “older” naysayers know they can make youngsters believe anything most of the time.
Narf:(well, it is only fair I address both you and Troy in the same post) I am a little tired today. Went to bed early last night but feel “hung over” today. Finally got the car back…I got to go back to work tonight so I am thinking about going for a nap now. So, as usual I will be in and out on these posts. You come on a thread that you know the majority of posters are fans of this young man and woman and then you complain if we give examples of why we believe the way we do. Maybe you get so upset with us “ganging up” on you because you do not have the same logical reasons or proof with pictures, etc, like we do. We did not make you come post an unfavorable or unpopular post to this site.

Lizbeth, we’re sorry you feel that way. We don’t mean to gang up on you at all… like you said, people differ in their opinions and we also have the right to state our case/opinions.
But, no need to come back with such offensive remarks. We are fans, that’s all. And yes, we like them individually as actors and we will remain fans after/if they break up. Will we be saddened by it.. Yes, but we’ll still remain fans.

I don’t understand your complaint you posted an opinion that you knew ran contrary to the majority of posters on this thread. As Steph said in her #84 comment, people still fall in love in this world. AND thank goodness that is true. In one of my very first post— some time back— love and the belief in it was what drove me to start posting about these two kids. They bring out feelings in many of us that may have almost been forgotten over the course of time, trials, and hardships. I have lived long enough to have been hardened and become jaded as I have had more than a few tough times in my life. But I am happy to say I am a sap and the belief in something better and higher than myself is what keeps me getting up and moving forward on many days.
And I hope these kids will always hold onto what they feel today whether it be with each other or not. I want them to continue to believe in something real instead of resorting to the booze and drugs that so many young stars do because they have nothing more in their scary surroundings. They only have doubt and emptiness when the day is done. Not to feel lonely or to be alone they try to overcome their their self-doubts by becoming part of the “scene” and those people there introduce them to bad habits and things that will stop the feelings that they don’t want to feel. To escape the world’s woes is one thing but to live an escapist life is something else again. And I have the best wishes for Lindsey and Britney that they can find something REAL in their lives also.
