Brad & Angelina’s Boxing Showdown
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie hop into a limo together with fellow Hollywood couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale late Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The two loved-up couples had just watched the flashy welterweight Mayweather-Hatton boxing match, where American Floyd Mayweather knocked British-born Ricky Hatton out in the 10th round.
“A true champion can adapt to anything,” Mayweather said. “I knew it’d be tough, that he’d try to bust me up. “He walked right into it and never saw it coming. He walked right into the shot.”
Of note: Brad Pitt turns 44 next Tuesday, Dec .18.

:lol: I don’t remember Julie Christie in the 60s, but I remember watching a couple of her movies in the late 70s including Far from the Madding Crowd - which I think was filmed in the 1960s or early 70s.
Years later in the 80s, a good male friend of mine described Julie Christie in glowing terms, literally, that she glows and looks like she’s about to have the big O. Whilst I wouldn’t describe Julie in quite the same terms, she does have her own special look about her.
Julie wasn’t strident like Vanessa Redgrave but, she’s certainly no American Sweetheart either. And her life, from what I’ve read, has been quietly alternative for a long time. I haven’t seen the movie Away from her but from all I’ve read, its an amazing movie, an amazing performance and certainly deserving of a wider audience. And as I understand it, Julie hasn’t had any plastic surgery done.
It seems to me, the actresses with real talent and commitment to their art, the susan Sarandon’s and the Meryl Streeps, Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, and other etc, carry their age so gracefully and proudly. Yet it must be emotionally tough going, to be the sort of woman who used to turn heads and then find that you no longer do so on the basis of being just pretty anymore. I wouldn’t blame any of them for doing plastic surgery. But I do find the fact that Helen Mirren and Julie Christie etc etc. acting with all their sags and bags and wrinkles in full screen display, in an industry that gobbles the young and spits out the middle aged to be quite inspirational.
It’s quite enough for me that Angelina is NOMINATED in the best actress category. From what I’ve read, getting nominated for an oscar is to a larger extent, based on whether you performed well. Winning the oscar is based on so many many other factors that the performance itself is a much smaller aspect of winning. Otherwise, how can you explain why, Cate Blanchett only has a Best supporting actress to date and Kate Winslet doesn’t even have one yet. Both such very very good actresses.
So, I certainly would be quite happy for Julie Christie to win the best actress Oscar this year. 2 best actress oscars 2 years running to 2 OLD women. Yes, I would like that very much.

Hello, ‘I am angry,’ you know, I understand that you’re angry believe me, but if you insist on posting some vague story about what has made you angry, you only get the rest of us pissed as well. Only it’s worse, because we have no idea where you saw, heard, or read what you did. If you’re going to do that (come here and post stuff that angers us all) at LEAST give us more info — it might be a good and productive idea to at least mention names, times, and titles of shows - so that we can be proactive and e-mail, write, call or complain if we wanted. What is this ‘Scoop,’ is this on cable? Is it on the net?
If you can’t do that much - IMO, you need to just keep it to yourself.
The tabloids should be focusing on the major Hollywood story today. Tom Cruise, Scientology and the nation of Germany. What a titanic mess. The German government are calling TC’s “religion” the “Cruise Cult” because they employ tactics very similar to the Nazi regime. They want it banned in Germany.
The funny thing is that when they interviewed some felllow Scientologists like Ann Archer, she said that it was a suprise to her becasue everyon in the UIS and Canada have NO PROBLEM with Scientology, so why would Germany?
My question: Has she been hiding under a spaceship? No problem? LOL!!!!
Re the UNHCR deaths…Can all of you please revisit and reread Angelina’s Note’s from my Travels? If that doesn’t tell you how dangerous the work of UNHCR employees is, nothing will. Condolences to the families of UNHCR workers who were caught in the crossfire of war.

I was wondering why Sara thought there was any kind of fiasco. Because as for as Angie and Brad are concern there is NONE.

Not every show is scheduled as encore presentation. Brad’s interview was shown twice last week, and once this week. If there is no demand, do you think CNN is that dumb to give Brad that much airtime? Use common sense !!!!
Air time is money. CNN is in the business of making money. For Brad’s program to be on 3 times means there is demand.

Not to many media people are going to touch the cult of Sci Fi. Tom C may be short but his money is long. He will take you out in a second. Biographers have disappeared, mysterious deaths, lawsuits galore etc etc. It is strange how the media and tabloids are quick to pick up any negative story about BP and particularly AJ, but leave GMD alone. His is one of the highest ranking members in the Sci Fi cult and to paraphase Lamey, “Chills”.
