No question about it, Brad & Ange are the couple of the year. They deserves it, they are the hottest & most sought couple in the planet by the papz, their pictures means more money for the papz. CONGRATULATIONS !!!

#384: Orchid, dementia is a terrible thing. They won’t be able to answer you because they can’t even remember how they got here. It’s always an accident, they fell into this hole and landed in a Brad and Angie thread. All they remember is he left and took up with another woman. They don’t recall that the ex before she was an ex did the same thing. The only difference is that her fling lasted only as long as the movie’s promotion. The guy she had been with left her azz even before the DVD was out.

This has been a wonderful year for us! We have gotten to see so many wonderful pics and videos of Brad and Angie! I have enjoyed all! They ARE the couple of the year. Except for Angie’s lost(mom), it has been a good year for them regardless of the negative articles.

…Movies are only a portion of their income, but even if you only counted box office I think their international take is more… the US comprises only about 7% of the world’s population by my calculation…

I do think that the haters are narrowminded people. Well, some are narrowminded, and others hate so deeply they can’t think straight.
In another board somebody wrote ‘we made them so we can take them down,’ or something like that.
As if they have just GIVEN money to B&A. I wrote back that ‘you went to see their movies and they have entertained you. That’s it. They don’t owe you anything. You don’t own them!’
Btw, I don’t know about the US only, but I have read a while ago that the US AND Europe are 13% of the world’s population.
There’s a lot of world outside the US, but the haters that said and think these stupid things are just so limited. I would have thought that they would have had their eyes opened after 9/11. Guess they only discovered Afghanistan and Iraq. Long way to go, haters.
To # 308 & # 309, No those tattoos are just made for her movie “Wanted”. Nothing has been added since, maybe once she have another child with Brad, she will get a new tattoo.

Well said Orchid! Africa and Asia make up a large portion of the world’s population, and yet in many parts of Africa, they have no idea who any American celebrities are, and have never seen their movies.
I love when they talk about Angie doing a UNHCR mission and she goes somewhere where they have no idea who she is… she must find it so freeing in a sense. And yet they are all so drawn to her compassionate self anyway! And I think Brad has experienced the same thing in Africa and probably had a similar experience (Angie’s trips are better documented in her diaries).

Orchid - isn’t there a quote where Brad basically says “The game is to build celebrities up and then tear them down”. He and Angie know the deal, which is why they don’t give a flying f&ck what the tabloids write most of the time. It’s different with the kids now though, so I think they have had to pay more attention. That’s to be expected I guess.

…I have to say that I think what Brad, and all of those involved in the Make It Right project, is trying to do for some of the neediest citizens in his own country is pretty darn cool.
What I think is a shame is that if you took all the money that has been spent on the war in Iraq they could have rebuilt New Orleans and solved many other social problems (education, healthcare) by now. The American Government has failed its own people on the highest level, and here you have some piss poor hater acting like Angie and Brad haven’t done enough for their own country. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees!

I agree with everything you said.
Yes, Brad and Angie could live the hedonistic, sybaritic Hollywood life, but they don’t. They’re doing their share in making the world a little better, and that takes a lot of time. Brad will be busy with his NOLA project for a long time.
IIRC, the Iraq war costs $300 million/day! I read that part of that has ‘gone missing’ in Iraq! Yes, that money could have solved the problems after Katrina AND a lot of problems in Africa! I’ll stop here, because this is not the place for politics.
I’ll just add that I’m so glad for the thinking people in the US that there will be an election soon!
