Angelina Jolie receives 2007 Golden Globe nomination
Angelina Jolie receives a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in A Mighty Heart.
Ang was nominated for the category “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama”.
Other nominees include: Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Julie Christie (Away from Her), Jodie Foster (The Brave One) and Keira Knightley (Atonement).
Congrats to AJ on the nomination! Good luck on January 13th!

The Golden Globes will go on as scheduled, strike or no strike. The question is, will it be televised? That’s when you get into union situations. The telvising of a ceremony involves different unions and they would all seem to be supportive of each other.
The ceremony will take place like any other banquet dinner and awards handed out. It just won’t be televised. The pre shows would benefit the best because they would be showing the red carpet arrivals and not the show itself.

Based on my sources, the golden globes WILL NOT be held this year unless the strike is resolved. As far as I know, there is no discussion as to when the next meeting occur. There are so many differences between the studio and writers group. They have not even come close to compromising. Both parties are still steadfast to their position. Neither is yielding.
My guess is Brad is sympathy with the writers strike (State of Play drop out), he WILL NOT attend the award show out of respect of writers. SO you guys can chill out obsessing their next Red Carpet moment together.
Anyone want to place a bet on it????
