Angelina Jolie receives 2007 Golden Globe nomination
Angelina Jolie receives a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in A Mighty Heart.
Ang was nominated for the category “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama”.
Other nominees include: Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Julie Christie (Away from Her), Jodie Foster (The Brave One) and Keira Knightley (Atonement).
Congrats to AJ on the nomination! Good luck on January 13th!

Looking back on it now, it’s obvious she was talking about her mother and she had worried herself sick. But to haters and trolls they see pix from that time and she’s as skinny then as she is now and they start yammering about drugs and mental institutions and dumb shite like that. You know…I happen to like the Smiths just fine. I just don’t think the trolls should get away with hijacking our threads just because they’ve got a soggy, loaded diaper.
As for Jada directing Will’s next movie? I don’t follow them that closely so I don’t know anything about that. I thought he was doing a movie called “John Hancock” with Charlize Theron. Or is that in the can already?
The critics are hailing Angelina’s role in AMH as the best work she’s ever done.
I think Angelina has not even begun to scratch the surface of her talent acting wise. I feel that her best work is yest to come. I feel the same about Brad as well.

Hey CMAR - I hadn’t really thought about that, but I guess the J-P kids would all be able to drop their last names if they needed or wanted to. But…as famous as those kids are now? By the time they’re grown there’s not going to be anywhere in the world who doesn’t know who they are…so why bother dropping their last name.

Just finished looking at a lot of old Angie interviews. I love Angie and Brad together don’t get me wrong! But she just seemed happier when she was with BBT. She seemed like she was so in love with him. She just bubbled with love or was it just passion. I’m sure it was the passion. It is ashame what he did to her belling out on her when she needed him(after adoping Maddox). I am sure this changed her trust in relationships and in men. It seemed to have made her tougher. I am sure she is happy now but it just seems different. I’m sure now with kids it makes one mature. But she just seemed happier back then. I watched in the Larry King interview when she said that it is important to have the same goals and focus in a relationship. And in another how after she got Maddox and starting with with the UN that one day BBT and her realized that they had nothing in common. nothing to talk about. I guess that is when passion was not enough. That goes to show that passion can not sustain a relationship. That has to be more. That is her relationship with Brad. However during that time with BGT yes she was WEIRD with him and he was and is still very different. But she just seemed happier during that time.
Saw “Legend” tonight. It was alright! Same old story - last man in NY. My husband and both said that some things that happened in the story were ridiculous. One scene he pulled himself back to the car after injuring his leg but when he got to the car was able walk and put his dog in the car(no signs of pain) and how did a petit woman shine enough light from her mid size suv to scare off the “dark ones” and get Will from the his car (turned upside down) and away from the vampires! Just did not make sense.

Mistake in spelling “BGT” SHOULD BE BBT. I love the song he wrote for her “Angelina”. But he is one weird cookie! Since he is with his new girlfriend; he has calmed down some. I still think he is a “dirty old man”.
I also agreed that I think Angie suffered some type of abuse from JV. He early behaviors are signs of this. Especially the self destructiveness and early sexual freedom. I wonder if her mom was not very firm with her. Of course when you are a single parent it is difficult with a strong willed child.

IMO, it was puppy love mixed with a father figure but of course Jolie says they had a deep love yet…and she is not sure why it failed.
Problem though, and please BBT fans don’t be cruel to me…
IMO, when BBT saw Angelina…he saw SEX which is why I think the moment she got all serious about having a child in her life..he bailed out.
BBT would have preferred just Jolie for himself. No kids. Otherwise, once kids came into the picture he was left with the reality of stepping up and being a sponsible man. Remember, his comment - that he was insecure about alot of things and that he felt small beside her.
