Angelina Jolie receives a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in A Mighty Heart.
Ang was nominated for the category “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama”.
Other nominees include: Cate Blanchett (Elizabeth: The Golden Age), Julie Christie (Away from Her), Jodie Foster (The Brave One) and Keira Knightley (Atonement).
Congrats to AJ on the nomination! Good luck on January 13th!

Voices: Actor Tries to Get Displaced New Orleans Families Back in Homes
Actor Brad Pitt talks about his plan to build homes in the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans, Monday, Dec. 3, 2007.
Pitt is launching his latest project to build affordable, environmentally friendly homes in the area devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The hot pink tents represent where eco-friendly houses will be.
Share Brad Pitt’s passion for architecture and compassion for the people of New Orleans has inspired the “Make It Right” initiative, a new effort to rebuild the Big Easy.
Brad Pitt: These are people who did everything right, according to the American dream. They got jobs and they saved their money. They bought homes. They raised their kids in these communities. And it’s all been wiped out, wiped out, and they are in this state of limbo and it is dismal.
The pink houses, the art installation, right now symbolically represents the destruction and the chaos after the storm and which continues today. … We chose pink because it screams loud. We want to get attention and to say that we can actually turn this around.
And we’re asking people to join in with us on this “Adopt a House” campaign. We’re asking foundations, corporations. I would love to see church groups, individuals, come in and adopt a house, adopt 10 houses, adopt 100 houses, adopt a corner of a house, adopt a solar panel, adopt a tree — whatever you’re comfortable with.
For every $150,000 that comes in, I guarantee a family will be returning to their home, and not just any affordable home, but a home that’s intelligent, that respects your hard-earned money, that respects your health and respects the health of the environment.

Jen will be so proud. You are on a one troll mission to vindicate the whiny one. There are thousand of people who lost homes and family members on the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. BP is an actor who cares and is trying to right a wrong. He has put himself on the line to help raise funds for an area the government has forgotten. However, don’t let that stop you on your paid and bought for smear campaign. Ritzy, Georgica and Sam hard at work. Your boss must be proud.

This so called scandal is so ridiculous. Again, haters grasping at straws. Fraud and other forms of corruption are expected obstacles in any form of charitable work - MIR has learned an early and valuable lesson and will certainly examine its applicants more closely. There is no scandal here - other than the one conjured in haters’ minds - there is a learning curve and no one involved in similar work can condemn Brad or MIR.
Gates Foundation - oh please, they’ve had their own issues to deal with but they’re just better at what information gets leaked, not to mention they don’t exactly appeal to the public for support.

I could go on and on but the fact is everyone involved in this line of work gets burned AT LEAST ONCE, especially when they are just getting started.
The bigger scandal is where are the millions, perhaps even billions of taxpayer dollars that are unaccounted for because of no bid contracts and lack of accountability at all levels of government? Why are the most vulnerable of these people still in trailers 3 years later? Why are the levess sill not up to standard? THAT’S THE SCANDAL! But you haters are so desperate to find anything that you can misconstrue or simply fabricate about the JPs that the real issues cannot begin to penetrate your thick skulls.

I think these haters have angelina jolie/brad pitt saved in their archive/search so that everytime they log in at JJ’s, they just hit their archive/search, or even their favorites, and that would take them to the latest Brad/Angie thread, even though it’s buried on page 6. Now, how pathetic, and in a way, sad, is that? That’s why I maintain that these are not haters, but paid bloggers. Would anyone who is sane do this shite for free?
