These two are the sexiest beasts ever. They just look at each other, no kissing, no hugging, but it is so incrediblely sexy and sensual.

Musicians appreciate effort of fellow entertainer

We wanted to express our appreciation for the very important home-building project that Brad Pitt and his Make It Right Foundation have launched in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward.
As native New Orleanians who retain deep ties through family and friends, we know that our gratitude mirrors that of countless residents, both those who have already returned and those still hoping to return to this beautiful and unique city.
It became clear in the days immediately following Hurricane Katrina that not only a community but also a culture was placed at risk, and that the provision of housing and other long-term solutions would be the top priority in providing relief. The hurricane and the flooding that followed destroyed entire neighborhoods filled with residents who, even before Katrina, were in need of safer and more affordable housing. The overwhelming amount of work to be done, the delays and failures we have seen in the response to this disaster, and the loss of focus as the public’s attention shifted to other concerns also threatened to frustrate relief efforts in the absence of effective initiatives that could attract broad public support.
Our answer was to join with the New Orleans Area Habitat and build a Musicians’ Village in the Upper 9th Ward. And while the Village has brought many families back home, there are thousands more in need of help.
In the more than two years since the initial catastrophe, we have seen a level of commitment on the part of folks such as NOAH and its volunteers that is truly inspirational. At the same time, despite the tremendous amount of work that remains to be done, the situation on the Gulf Coast has inevitably been eclipsed in the public’s mind by subsequent events.
Continued progress requires that every opportunity be taken to keep public attention focused upon the needs of New Orleans and its residents. Brad Pitt’s stature in this country and the world cannot help but renew that attention and commitment, and will no doubt inspire others to take a similar stand.
The positive effect that Brad Pitt’s efforts will have on the lives of so many people is the greatest gift he could hope to receive, and he has our deepest thanks.

Lia
i like to believe you didn’t forget. But no pressure!I can be here only for cca 1 hour twice a week..At this time.
Can anyone say who has it all like Angelina?
Powerful beuty
powerful brain
powerful sexy
powerful decisions
powerful actor
powerful mama
powerful work
i know there are beauty actresses or working for charity or clever ones or adopting(Mia) but to have all of that?
It is only Angelina.
This could be a chance to refurbish a historic city like New Orleans, like a good renovation. This includes all the parished. What an opportunity for the city to be sparkling again. I have some friends that have observed a renewed artisitc movement there. Lot’s of filmakers, painters, new galleries opening up. Soon new homes will be going up but not nearly enough. But things seem so slow. I think that the slowness is due to the fact that right now, it’s charitable organizations that are actually getting things done there. Where’s the money from the government? And why is it taking so long to have the money get to the people and to rebuild infrastructure?FEMA announced that it will start removing the temporary trailers they put up in a few weeks. Where are these people going to live now? Things are not adding up to me.
Later (really)…..
OT:
Happy for Will Smith and sad for Nicole Kidman, she will be lucky if her movie gets to 65M in the US lone coz the BO is taken over by the Christmas block busters.
76M opening Weekend, Way to go Will that was great now am hoping that Brad and Angie will get enough rest for the one year break and looking forward to Kung fu Panda, Wanted and TCCOBB. Happy Sunday!!!!
For the troll Sam, its Sunday, are you that miserable, you are here on Sundays too?
What a life, let the rest of us with a life leave you to get on with your past time activity.
let me tell something.Did you guys also notice that after Jane Pitt’s visit of Jennifer in June?Jen didn’t start another relationship and she also finished her relationship with Paul two days after that visit.I always wonder why?
but as times go on I’m becoming more and more convinced that Brad asked his mom to go there and send his security with her too to say that he is coming back to her.that’s why Jen stop dating and finished her last relationship.
and now that I see Brad will spend his birthday alone in NYC,I become more convinced something is wrong with him and Angelina.
I hope they will try to solve their problem but his actions and probably his words(in Charlie Rose’s interview) will show it.
I still can’t get it why he will go to NYC for just one interview and he doesn’t want to spend his birthday with his family.I’m sure kids love celebrating with their dad.so why he won’t be with his family and he will go to NYC instead.

Great posts. ITA. It is a shame that private leaders such as BP and Harry Cornick Jr. have to take on the government job. I am glad that improvements are slowly reaching the area. New Orleans is a great city.
xmas
please forgive me, I am not sure what you are referring to.
Janice @ 12/16/2007 at 1:38 pm I have some video of Brad on ABC’s This Week talking about MIR.

Brad Pitt plays action hero in New Orleans’ recovery
By Rick Jervis, USA TODAY
NEW ORLEANS — Hollywood star Brad Pitt on Monday unveiled one of the most ambitious efforts to rebuild a storm-ravaged section of this city, and he called on others to help.
Surrounded by hundreds of parts of homes, Pitt introduced a plan to erect 150 homes in the Lower 9th Ward.
The neighborhood was largely destroyed when levees holding back floodwaters broke in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
“The goal here immediately is to see the community back, to see families hanging out again, kids riding their bikes in the street,” said Pitt, who has a home in New Orleans with actress Angelina Jolie.
“I see nothing in our way right now other than financial support. I know this about the American spirit: We are there to help in a second,” he said.

Pitt spoke amid roofs, bedrooms and porches that were wrapped in bright pink fabric and scattered across the house lots. The pink landscape was “part art installation, part civil disobedience” and a way to draw attention to an impoverished neighborhood that was nearly wiped out by the floods, Pitt said in an interview with USA TODAY.
Pitt’s “Make It Right” foundation needs $22.5 million to build all 150 homes. Pitt has pledged to match $5 million worth of donations, saying they have raised $2 million thus far. Architects donated their time. The money will not only pay for construction but will subsidize the sale price for people of modest means.
Pitt hopes groundbreaking will start in the spring and that people will be moving in as early as summer.
“I find this place very special, very unique,” Pitt said of New Orleans. “It’d be hard to picture America without it.”
Only a handful of families have returned to the Lower 9th Ward, which once had 5,000 homes, Pitt said.
Robert Green, 52, has been living in a trailer provided by the federal government since returning to New Orleans last year. His was among the many homes here that were swept away by flood waters.
Green was atop the roof of his home on Tennessee Street with his elderly mother and three young grandchildren when the home floated 400 yards away before being splintered by an oak tree.
Green’s mother, Joyce Hilda Green, and 3-year-old granddaughter, Shanai, drowned.
Under the initiative, Green would be able to buy a $175,000 home for $300 a month — or 30% of his monthly income (the maximum income ratio one would pay). He says that he intends to move into one of the new homes.
“If this initiative didn’t happen, it would be a long, long time before people came back,” Green said.
