BrainySmurf @ 12/13/2007 at 12:11 pm

So happy for Katherine Heigl! Beautiful actress and extremely talented.

# 9

Sweet :)

I’m predicting No Country to take home both Drama Picture and Direction. Sweeney Todd or possibly Hairspray for Comedy/Musical. Daniel Day Lewis hopefully will take home Best Dramatic Actor, with Julie Christie taking home Dramatic Actress. The comedy Musical/Comedy will go to Johnny Depp and Marion Cotillard or Ellen Page. Javier Bardem and Cate Blanchett (or critical darling Amy Ryan) for the Supporting honours. Writing for Juno or No Country.

where the hell is gossip girl and what happent to hsm 2 and so over with hayden she is not that cute anyway…!

Some good nominees, some are like wtf!!!

LOL…prison thoroughly ignored again….=(
Heros was ignored too ??! now thats just funny shizzzz

heigl sucks @ 12/13/2007 at 12:14 pm

Heigl is low class-big mouthed- chain smoker.

There are other people on that show besides Katherine Heigel, that is what’s so unfair about that business. You suddenly start doing movies outside the show and ur seen as someone better than anyone else on the show…that show has tanked for me….

Just me... @ 12/13/2007 at 12:20 pm

Where the hell is Prison Break?!!
All this nominations really disappoint me!!!
******* Golden Globe!!!!

Buckeyegurl @ 12/13/2007 at 12:31 pm

WOW Tarantino looks like sh*it!!

I agree Katherine Heigl is overrated. I think she is a major reason Grey’s kind of sucks this year (The whole non chemistry with her best bud TR). That whole storyline tanked the show for me.

TiredofthisCrap @ 12/13/2007 at 12:32 pm

Movie- No Country For Old Men
Actress- Keira Knightely
Actor- Denzel Washington
S. Actor- Tom Wilkinson
S. Actress- Julia Roberts

Angelina Jolie!

If Denzel wins again for protraying another ganster, there’s gonna be running theme (or should i say formula) to his success when it comes to winning nominations and i think thats a bit off, he’s done so many other good types of characters justice, they should appreciate that toooo

I think Nikki’s nomination was coming, and its great she deserves it.

Prison Break was shut out again…I think it has extreme success overseas, and only moderate success in the States, which is unfortunate b/c its a good show that should be recognized for its smart writing.

This better be Johnny Deeps year,he deserves it,just like Brad Pitt they are always over looked on these things and both are very talented actors!

Oh and Brithers&Sisters was soooo ROBBED!Only two nods? They deserve much more, such a good show.

But can i ask the million dollar question? Will the GG even happen this year?

Love love love that Heroes and it’s paparazzi-hunting “star” were shut out of nominations. Overrated runt.

Wow, that Barong Tagalog really looks good on him. Filipinos really made a good impression on him to wear one of those :)

Ryan is absolutely gorgeous! Look at that beautiful face…

Angelina and Viggo should be the BIG WINNERS!

hypocrite @ 12/13/2007 at 2:42 pm

His face should look good. He’s wearing a pound of foundation.

Ryan is so sexy i just wanna rip that suit off him!!!

thats's_me @ 12/13/2007 at 2:58 pm

where the hell is Sandra Oh???damn it…
she’s one of my favorite actresses in TV!!She deserves to be nominated..

I am so glad that they are recognizing The Tudors and Big Love- 2 incredible shows!!

I am also thrilled for Joel and Ethan Coen. I’ve been a fan for a long time and their films are awesome!

I am not sure who the clear favorites are, but there may not be a GG depending on the writer’s strike. I can’t imagine a whole lot of Hollywood showing up and crossing the picket line.

Arianna =) @ 12/13/2007 at 3:34 pm

i hope America Ferrera wins…she’s so talented and cute..!!anyway I’m disappointed Mariska Hargitay didn’t earn a nomination..she’s such a great actress..beautiful and talented…

Good luck to Keira! I hope she wins best actress.

It’s good to see that The Tudors is receiving such recognition. JRM should totally bag that award. He certainly is Henry VIII to me now. Angelina Jolie shined as Marianne Pearl. She certainly lived up to the role despite her over-the-top fame. I did not even for once think that the person on screen was anyone but Marianne. As for the Sweeney Todd nominations? THEY SHOULD WIN EVERYTHING. Johnny Depp, Tim Burton AND Stephen Sondheim are gods.

I like what Ryan was wearing.

Double noms for Cate! Yay!

[~Famous~] - The God. @ 12/13/2007 at 7:22 pm

christain bale and emile hirsch got j-jerked.

Although I’m a fan of Angelina’s, I found her performance in AMH merely good, (she knows her craft), but not outstanding from my perspective. It may be because I couln’t help having expectations. Still, I’m happy she was nominated. As an older guy and a Canadian I’m hoping the allways beautiful Julie Christie takes it for Sarah Polley’s, ‘Away From Her’.

Maria del barrio @ 12/13/2007 at 10:33 pm

I cannot believe that Shakira got best song. What a terrible voice and what a terrible song. They should have nominated Marc Anthony for El Cantante, he’s a better singer and the song is so much better. Both of these songs are in Spanish. I don’t get this at all.

emile hirsch - will definately be in the Oscar race

Golden Globe Smolden Moble

FrenchGirlParis @ 12/14/2007 at 2:39 am

Angelina Jolie
Viggo Mortensen
Marion Cotillard
Johny Depp

It’s all I want!

im so happy angelina is nominated! i cant wait to see her at the golden globes and she better win!

How come Dexter wasn’t nominated under the Drama? That show is heaps better than ‘Grey’s Anatomy’!

Angelina Jolie portrayed her role in AMH with excellent performance. After I watched AMH, it took me a while not to get affected. That’s how effective she was. So, I wish she would get another Golden Globe, & hopefully Oscars, too.

I hope the Foreign Press Association would judge objectively and not to consider age, popularity or influence in deciding which among the nominees really deserve to win. If they have to watch the films over & over again, that would be better, so as not to cloud their judgement.

Go Atonement!

Atonement better win them all or ima cut someone! lol

and Go Gervais! :D

Grey’s Anatomy for best drama????? hahahaha Sorry, but where are Dexter or Friday Night Lights?

PRISON BREAK DOESN’T DESERVE A GOLDEN GLOBE after killing the amazing Sara Tancredi. The heart & Soul of the show, and the only FEMALE lead. Screw Molly… I want Sara back.

Btw: YAY! ANNA FREIL! PUSHING DAISIES! AND LEE PACE! :D

Why is there no prisonbreak nominations? And all these nominees (Tv) are almost there every year nominations. How i wish to see other not so usual nominees next year. I hope somebody from Prisonbreak like Wentworth!

Oh! am so happy Tarantino wore a barong tagalog (A filipino national costume). He is setting a fashion statement there.

ken smith @ 12/20/2007 at 1:41 am

The novel sartorial appearance generated equivocal comments. The LA crowd, seeing the “Barong” for the first time, thought the director looked too casual in his “tie-less” get-up. While Pinoys world-wide applauded Quentin for giving their native dress international exposure.

According to http://www.tesoros.ph Quentin was gifted with a ‘TESORO’S” barong by the National Commission of Culture and the Arts Executive Director Cecilia Guidote-Alvarez and by the Film Development Council of the Philippines vice-Chair Christine Dayrit. The Director was presented the 24 hour executed, custom-made barong for his courtesy call to the Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

The Barong Tagalog is the recommended attire when visiting the Philippine head of state. Most delegates are automatically gifted by their Filipino hosts with one. And their store of choice is Tesoro’s which carries the widest assortment of barongs, with a price to suit every budget and a style to suit every taste.

Tesoro’s must have done such a good job as Quentin saw it fit to wear the barong again and in front of an international media event at that.

Quentin’s patronage of the barong will endear him in the hearts of the movie going Pinoy (Filipino) public for many years to come.

babyblue89 @ 01/03/2008 at 1:23 pm

I really hope Minnie Driver wins best actress. She is incredible on The Riches. I had no idea what the show was even about before I watched it, but it’s really clever and she is so awesome!

GO ATONEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!

i would love cate to win both awards she was sooo amazing in the 2 performances!
