Nikki Blonsky Picks Up Golden Globe Nomination
Nikki Blonsky nabbed a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Hairspray. The film itself also was nominated for “Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy”.
Other nominees include: Across the Universe, Charlie Wilson’s War, Juno and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Congrats to Nikki, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes and Zac Efron on the nominations. Good luck on January 13th!

Well, Nonna, I don’t see Nikki as the type to go back on her word, so if Ben Loser did hold her to it, I’m sure she wouldn’t have a problem with it. But doesn’t he have a girlfriend? Lol, that could get interesting fast…
I didn’t know the writers could still do the GG if the strike is unresolved, but I hope they do! It would suck if we’re deprived of Zikki even longer than we already have been :-(
Also yeah, Nikki, Zac and Elijah all look gorgeous, but when do they not? ;-)

Like you I hope it doesn’t rain on the nominees parade so to speak-it would be a shame for this talented bunch of people not to get their day in the sun-even though I support the WGA.

Everyone benefits from these awards, hopefully they either settle this or WGA gives a wavier for the awards!

judging by the list~ Amy wil get the award hands down
Very possible-Amy has garnered good critical response on this and turned in a decent performance in the ingenue style that few actresses could pull off credibly. I’d rather see her get it for something ike Junebug but this is what happens lol. I think Helena and Marion (despite amazing critical praise for her trun as Piaf) are the outside chances here with Nikki in the middle with Ellen (crits love an indie flick) or Amy most likely..but we will see what we will see..they always throw put a surprise at us..so fingers and toes crossed ;) Just to get nommed is an honour.
