Nikki Blonsky Picks Up Golden Globe Nomination
Nikki Blonsky nabbed a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Hairspray. The film itself also was nominated for “Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy”.
Other nominees include: Across the Universe, Charlie Wilson’s War, Juno and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Congrats to Nikki, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes and Zac Efron on the nominations. Good luck on January 13th!

Irish, I was totally going to say that! And it’s sooo mature to start talking in another language, I think we should do the same ;)
I envy Nikki her poise and grace…I know for damn sure that I wouldn’t be able to rise above like she has…
But I guess you all know that after my little tirade.

I guess that’s what having a younger sister does to you…and then there’s the broken family thing but that’s way off topic and boring.
Needless to say I look up to Nikki even though I’m a few inches taller and eighteen months older.
Go Nikki! She definately has the talent, class and charisma to keep her afloat in Hollywood for a long time.

I think it definitely tells us who these people are. Not that I had any doubt where the negative comments were coming from. It’s what I have been saying/thinking all along. Disgruntled Vanessa/Zanessa fans.
Nikki is amazing and she deserves this more than anyone. Get over it.

I just don’t get the point in complaining about something that has been done and isn’t going to change. I mean yeah it sucks to see somone you don’t think deserves it get nominated (but Nikki is soooo not that case here) but do you honestly think making degrogetory and horrible comments about that person is gonna make the HFPA say “oh hey look I think we made a mistake because some severly immature and whiney fans said so” No! They are professionals who know there job and do it well, some people get nominated and some don’t, GET OVER IT!
But Nikki totally deserved her nomination so stop acting like she doesn’t. Who would you honestly rather see up there? I can’t think of anyone else who deserves this nom that doesn’t have it already. I am not saying Nikki is a shoe in to win, she has some stiff competetion with Amy in ‘Enchanted’ and Ellen in “Juno” but she can totally win it and we will know it is because she has immense talent and earned it!
