Nikki Blonsky Picks Up Golden Globe Nomination
Nikki Blonsky nabbed a 2007 Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Hairspray. The film itself also was nominated for “Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy”.
Other nominees include: Across the Universe, Charlie Wilson’s War, Juno and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Congrats to Nikki, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, Amanda Bynes and Zac Efron on the nominations. Good luck on January 13th!

Karen, I didn’t say at those threads. I said V/ZV fans…because it’s obvious that what they are. And after reading some of this I wouldn’t speak about maturity levels.
Karen if immaturity annoys you maybe you should rethink your choice of ships…just a suggestion
if you want to start a fight then i really don’t mind sticking up for my friends and Nikki but i’d rather save my wit for something more worthy than trading b*tchy comments with a Zanessa shipper however venomously amusing i may be
None of us never said it was okay to call girls “too skinny” I for one hate when *anyone* is called names or hurrtful things. So I take just as much offense to anyone calling actress like Kiera anorexic and too thing to you calling Nikki fat or obese as some have. To determine a person based on their physical apperance is low and shallow, that isn’t who they are. You don’t acutally know she is in danger of heart problems, nobody knows that but her doctor and her. Just let the girl be, she is happy with herself and that is all that should matter if you are fan.
She is an amazing actress, why can’t we celebrate her for that insteand of crtisizing her weight?
Omg people like you Katie are really narrow minded. So what if shes curvacious??? she is a lot more talented than some of the skinnier actresses and anyway isnt it the inside that is important???
and anyway why are you here anyway???? this is a place for people who ADORE nikki not a LET’S BASH NIKKI AT EVERY GIVEN OPPERTUNITY! so my advice to you would be to clivk the X at the top and go and say your s*h*i*t somewere else because personally it is not wanted here!

The only thing I think that was ever mention about ‘threads’ was the Spanish one…no one ever said that V/ZV fans were coming from the V board at FF or the Z board.

It is unfortunate that there are a FEW Zanessa fans who will come and bash Nikki. But as Melly has said very few true Zanessa fans bash her and when we see anyne that does on either Zac or Vanessa threads, we tell them our feelings about that.
Now, Clare, there is nothing I have said to get trouble started and you know it. But if we don’t bash Nikki on Zac and Vanessa sites, you shouldn’t do any bashing of Vanessa here.
Yes, this is a Nikki site and I did not say anything bad about her—quite the opposite. I can’t say the same about some of you who say things about Vanessa here or you who come to bash Vanessa on her site.
You just know that Zac was on the phone to Nikki early this a.m. when he heard the news: “Way to go GIRL, I’m so proud of you!”
She could give it right back to him, too: “What about you? What did you do this year? Oh, yeah, you starred in a Golden Globe-nominated movie!”

Also it is wrong for people to base fitness level and health risks on weight. Because HONESTLY, watching Nikki shake her stuff on TV at performances, sining and dancing LIVE… She is probably a lot fitter than I am! And I also take offense at some people’s comments that the only people who post in here are overweight…
Are you saying that anyone who supports Nikki MUST be overweight? Because I am certainly not! I also don’t think that the critics and whoever decides the nominations for awards are either… we recognise and love that she has real talent and is going to go far! Nikki is only at the start of her career with Queen Sized and Harold coming out and her singing career! This girl is going to go far!

To the haters out there i say talk trash to those who actually want to hear it.
OK, Clare, one last thing. For example, this Katie who commented above, she is bashing Nikki and she has a real problem. However, she is not, to my knowledge, a Vanessa or Zac fan for that matter. So, don’t jump on me because I am a Vanessa fan and make hateful comments or say I am trying to start a fight. Jump Katie but do not relate her comments to being a Zanessa fan or whatever. And you, Clare, have come to Vanessa and Zanessa sites and made ugly and unfair comment about Vanessa just because you are a Nikki fan. Just because someone says stupid things about Nikki because they like Vanessa gives nobody a right to trash Vanessa. Do you understand that?
Plus, my original comment was made about what Nonna said which was unfair. She made comment about Vanessa in trying to elevate Nikki. Vanessa didn’t do anything to warrant the comment she made. Clare, are the one making a bigger problem not me.
I agree Mel, although I don’t recall anyone ever saying it was ZV/V fans for the board or that ALL ZV/V fans are like that.

I’ll just say that whether you’re a Nikki fan or a Vanessa fan or a fan of Coco the flocking clown respect breeds respect in return. I’ve been ‘called on’ here before just because I dared to post my opinion of Zac Efron and how he has evolved in a Zac (yes talking about Zac in a Zac post crazy of me) post before and that’s without mentioning his relationships or otherwise. I personally don’t go into the other threads beyond subjects or people that interest me because..what’s the point? So yes no-one from any walk should be ‘hating’ on anyone because karma is a son of a witch ;)
I concur on the fan stereotyping..well said Nila..but this is to be expected..if they stereotype Nikki because of her weight it’s clear they lack the brain cells to think outside the box.
