Vanessa Hudgens sings her own interpretation of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) at Wednesday’s Christmas in Washington 2007 at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.
President Bush seemed to really enjoy the performance when they cut to his reaction!

You know everyone has their own opinion of what a good singer is. There were people I loved watching last night (V being one of them) and others I didn’t care for.
If our opinions differ it’s because we all have different styles of singing we like too. Heather Headley was awesome, so was Vanessa, but their styles are both different. Not all singers are belters. Not all singers have big dynamic endings. So to say that she sucked… think about it.. is it because she doesn’t sound like Mariah Carey or Jojo or any your faves? Those are just examples. She has a different style and her style works.
Technically, she can sing. The best singers go flat or get squeaky often during performances. She can carry a tune and has a wide range. She can sing and she has a pretty voice to boot. You just may not like her style.
Hmm, she’s cute but I’m certainly not a fan of her voice, it’s to teeny-bopperish for me, no substance…

Yeah, it was a quick lunch Boji, It’s very hot here today and the shopping centre’s air conditioning wasn’t great and my Grandma was really feeling it so we didn’t stay long.

*raises hand* I kind of watch it when my brother does. he does marathons, so…when I catch him doing it…i’d stay and watch. not really into the series though. but yeah, i think superman or whatever his name is, is cute. those blue eyes eh… and sometimes, even lux (sp?) gah. bad w/ names. but the bald headed one. hahhahaa. *shakes head*

i feel completely vindicated because tonight there are way more negative comments than positive comments about Vanessa.
But I cannot claim the credit. It was Vanessa’s horrible singing voice that swayed the crowd in my favor.
I used to watch it Levi, but not anymore.
