Vanessa Hudgens sings her own interpretation of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) at Wednesday’s Christmas in Washington 2007 at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.
President Bush seemed to really enjoy the performance when they cut to his reaction!

But back to Vanessa; I’m so proud of her. Good going Miss V. You sang for the President and the First Lady. Other than some celebrities on this website, I doubt anyone else leaving comments here has ever been given the honor to entertain the President.

It’s pretty ignorant that many of you keep wishing others “Merry Christmas”. I know that you are just trying to be nice, but have you considered that not everyone in this world celebrates Christmas or believes in the Christian faith? Just a thought :)

Vanessa may be able to sing, dance and act, but she doesn’t do any of those three very well. I do think she will go far in the business though based on her looks (just like Jessica Alba does).
She is mediocre, manufactured and unoriginal like the countless other “Triple Threat” starlets.
Holy Padmé, mother of Luke and Leia (sorry SW moment, I tend to use that line a lot *lol*), she was brilliant, amazing, wonderful (every positive word out there) I simply loved that performance, I think that I’ve found my favorite Christmas song, is it called ‘The Christmas Song’? I just want to be sure. Wow, I can’t say how much I loved it enough.
I can’t wait for her new CD either, I hope it will have more ballads on it, she sings these songs amazingly, well, she sings all of her songs amazingly but still.

I understand perfectly what you’re saying, Vanessa’s voice is different and unique just like you say, most of the other young singers sound like more experienced singers (mostly Britney Spears as weird as it sounds, at least sometimes). I like Vanessa and I wasn’t surprised that she was the first one to sign a record deal out of the HSM – ‘kids’

I just want to say congratulations to the ZAs for keeping haters at bay. Sure there are opinions stated that differ from our own and that’s okay. But at least it wasn’t a bash fest. Despite the erroneous assertion of a certain poster of more negative comments then postiive I would say that overall our girl’s performance at the event was fairly well recieved. Which is good to see.
