Vanessa Hudgens sings her own interpretation of The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire) at Wednesday’s Christmas in Washington 2007 at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.

President Bush seemed to really enjoy the performance when they cut to his reaction!

I think it would be really cool if Vanessa recorded this song. She sounds really good live, so imagine how good she would sound if it were recorded!

She needs a Christmas album, or at least a Christmas song. Most Christmas songs are ballads, and her voice was made for ballads. I’m still impressed with her singing.

I had her voice stuck in my head all day today, and I came back and rewatched her performance, and she still sounds incredible. She’s improved so much.

she needs to make her vowels more open in some spots. and take better breaths so she doesn’t slide so much. i know the sliding might be her certain style, but it doesn’t suit the song very well.
but i was still impressed. please don’t misinterpret this as a negative comment. i’m just trying to help her became even better : )
