The High School darling performed for President Bush and other honorary guests alongside American Idol alum Katharine McPhee and R&B singer Ne-Yo.

i think everyone will also agree that it was shameful that Vanessa was shaking her booty on stage….in front of the president and young children….but that is certainly what we have come to expect from dear Vanessa…how can her parents watch this display?

You nasty people, Hate you cause you ARE you, cami, caro, BAD……you do realize she’s just 19, still growing as a singer and performer, and has such potential. Don’t you think it took a LOT of guts at that age to get up and do what she did??? Are you all so seriously perfect that you can criticize so easily???
I honestly see Vanessa as a Fergie…..she’s the whole package, gorgeous, sexy, and she can sing. But I do think Vanessa’s voice is better, not as edgy.
i think that all of the performers did really well!! especially vanessa..you once she is a little bit older her voice will become more mature and she will sound even better!! i agree that katherine sounded good but at the end she sounded very out of tune…that is just my opinion!!!!
Baby V makes Katherine sound like Whitney Houston.

vanessa’s voice has gotten higher..well in my opinion everyone has a free speech to what they think whether you hate her or not..but its really rude to tell her fans she sucks..i think her voice was actually really vibrant and stronger
I think all the little haters were kind of just sitting around waiting for a new post on Vanessa just so they could bash for no reason. Don’t try to fight them, just keep them in your prayers. Anybody with a good sense of music would know that Vanessa did a great job. She may not be the best, but with a little work she could be up there.

Uh, it was a LIVE performance. You do know what that means don’t you? If you check out the vid of her Gloria solo, you can tell because she starts a little nervously before really getting into it and belting the daylights out of it.

WOW, Vanessa has NOTHING on Katherine McPhee. Watching and comparing performance, Vanessa was so amatuer and, as Randy Jackson would say, pitchy throughout most of her solo.

I’d just like to point out that all of the people insulting Vanessa can’t even put a proper sentence together.
That says a lot.
Don’t waste your time defending Vanessa to THOSE people. They’re worthless, they’re opinion means nothing (because they know nothing) and you wouldn’t want any of THEM as Vanessa fans anyway.
