Vanessa Hudgens’ Birthday Car!

Good morning or is it afternoon for you, Narf, dear (big kiss).

#1032 When people started slamming Vanessa for not having a license, I knew that as she got one and a car people would find a way to slam her for that. Did you stop and think that the reason why Vanessa got her mom a Camry is because well, I don’t know maybe her mom WANTED a Camry.

Close your eyes and picture yourself standing in the car lot. Vanessa and Mama Gina are there:

Vanessa: Mom, you can have your pick of any of these cars.

Mama Gina: I like this cute little Toyota Camry.

Vanessa: A Camry? Mom you deserve a nicer a car then that. Look there’s a beautiful Audi over there and its brand new.

Mama Gina: That’s too expensive, besides I like this Camry better.

Vanessa: If the Audi is too expensive what about this nice Mustang.

Mama Gina: I like the Camry, Vanessa.

Vanessa: But-

Mama Gina: *stern look*

Vanessa: *sighs* The Camry.

Mama Gina: *nods* The Camry.

I could easily see something like that going down. Besides that what’s wrong with having a Toyota Camry? I’m not a car guy but from what I can tell it looks to be a perfectly nice car.

As I said I’m sure Vanessa would have gotten her mom a more expensive (as if that’s important) car if she wanted one. How many teenagers would use their first big pay check to buy their mom a car at all?

I believe the Camry is also one of those hybrids—don’t they cost more? And as Steph said, they Camry isn’t a cheap car anyway—it’s a top of the line Toyota car.

Plus, I don’t recall anyone saying that Zac was selfish when he got his car for not buying one for his parents FIRST! You people who just want to hate on Vanessa are so transparent.

I don’t understand why everyone worships these disney kids. Realize that the only acting experience Vanessa has really had, was in 13, which was like, what? a 10 minute role? Thunderbirds, which was a flop, and High School Musical 1 & 2 which is only really popular to kids ages of 6-14. If you’re over 14 and think that these disney kids have talent, then that’s a laugh…. think about it… why would they be on Disney if they were talented? Walt Disney must be spinning in his grave especially about the naked pictures incident. It’s one thing to take them while you’re a “normal out of the spotlight person”, but when you’re representing Disney Channel, that’s just trashy. Give it another 5 years, they’ll all be out of the spotlight.

Don’t even bring Hilary Duff into this. She’s her own person now. Sure, she’ll be known as Lizzie Mcguire probably her whole life, but at least she broke out of the Disney phase and doesn’t depend on them. Not like I could say the same for the High School Musical cast, who, which, by the way, half of them are older than Hilary. Thinkt hey’re going to have a life-set career? Think again.

As with Miley, just another cheap, trashy version of Hilary Duff/Paris Hilton. Her washed out father collects all her money.

First of all, Congratulations! You came accross the way you wanted… very cynical! Don’t worry, we got it :)

Why does everyone have their own favorites? After Britney and all her scandals… why does she still have loyal fans? Geez, even Paris has loyal fans. My point is… why would you care why we like the Disney Kids? If her past, present and future projects doesn’t impress you, it does to other people. We all have different tastes and opinions. Why would you put anyone down because we like Vanessa Hudgens as oppose to Hillary Duff?

And Brooke, you don’t need to call anyone Trash. Specially if Miley’s only in her teens and doing very well with her career. That’s just plain rude. What’s trashy is your post. If you don’t understand why people have different likings than yours, get over it! And know that people will have different tastes. Don’t put anyone down because of it. Grow from your close mind and open it. You’ll discover the world to be even more bigger and more wonderful if you do.

That’s like saying if the cast of “Lost” had talent why would they be on ABC, in my opinion. That doesn’t make any sense either.

As far as the scandal goes, try to put it behind you we have.

This thread has 1056 posts (this one) and is 36 pages long and you’re the only one bringing up Hilary Duff. Why, I’m not sure but I just thought I would mention that since you said “don’t even bring Hilary Duff into this.”

Will the “HSM” kids still be in the spotlight in the next five years? Maybe. Maybe not. Nobody knows, all I can say is I hope so either way I intend to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

lol zanessa110 (not that you fell, but the solo karaoke!) I love seeing other people get into HSM, in my head I’m like “Yes! We got another one!” I really get way too much pleasure out of those movies.

- I’m exactly the same way! LOL. I was so proud of myself when I got my best friend all excited about HSM and Zac. She was sooo cynical about it first, and then we watched the movie and now she’s almost as obsessed with it as I am… :D

A lot of us have been here so long that we’ve become very comfortable with each other which breeds familiarity that we forget that not everybody that wants to comment is going to share in that. Plus, alot of times the Vanessa posts don’t really have a lot of content to discuss. *The threads about her performance in Washington DC is the exception*. In the case of this thread for instance after you’ve said “Vanessa is so pretty” or “What a cool car,” or “She’s getting more and more independent good for her,” you’ve pretty much exhausted the opportunities for conversation this particular thread provides. After a while, it’s “yep its still a picture of V driving a car.” Of course that doesn’t mean a fresh perspective couldn’t spark more Vanessa related discussion. So please don’t feel intimidated from posting because I know that’s the last thing any of us wants.

Well said! I was thinking the same thing… It’s not possible to keep the topics strictly in Zanessa, although we talk about them a lot. Anyone who’s not interested in our personal stuff (and I can’t blame them, it’s obviously not interesting for an outsider) doesn’t have to read those comments.

And Troy, I also agree with you about what you said in post # 1051. It’s not like teenager’s are obligated to buy their parents nice things (such as cars) when they start to earn money, although most sweet and generous people like Vanessa do. So no matter what’s the car like (can’t say that I know much about cars either) buying one to your mom is a NICE and THOUGHTFUL thing. :> I wish I could do something like that for my parents someday! I doubt it, though. :P

Firstly, I was gonna write my thoughts on a few of these negative points, but Brother-In-Law did such a great job on the car issue and Karen, Steph and Troy did so well with Brooke’s little cynical rant, that I don’t think I need to :)

But, I do coming bearing gifts. Or at least, one gift…NEW VIDEO! That’s right, inspiration struck last night so I have a new vid for you all.

Now, most of you would have never heard this song (Buttefly) because
a) it’s by Australian singer Delta Goodrem and I don’t think she’s that well know overseas (except for the UK)
b) Even if you did, this song wasn’t one of her singles, it comes from her first album released a couple of years ago.

But I absolutely love this song and I think it fits Zac and Vanessa to a tee, they are each other’s butterfly. So enjoy!

I’m with you guys on the ‘why didn’t she buy a car for her mom’ issue. That is seriously one of the weirdest thoughts I’ve ever seen here. Isn’t a car one of the first things a young star would buy for themselves, deservingly?? Plus, Vanessa was smart and waited until she was a little older, so what’s wrong with her getting a car? Did anyone ask that of Ashley, who has a nice little ride herself?? Or any other celebrity for that matter? I was just a little miffed by that one!

yeah!! I’m starting to like jfx as well. They use to ‘kind of’ bash on her, but I guess they realized that people and her fans would visit their site if they play it fair. Not to mention that their photographer doesn’t usually go up to their faces when they take pictures.
