Brad Pitt @ Regis & Kelly
Brad Pitt, in his signature newsboy cap, signs some autographs for fans in NYC Monday morning outside of ABC studios after an appearance on Live with Regis & Kelly!
The 43-year-old father-of-four promoted his “Make it Right” project for the Hurricane Katrina-ravaged Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans.
Brad’s interview on Regis & Kelly is expected to air next Monday morning (Christmas Eve), Dec. 24. A performance by the cast of “High School Musical: The Ice Tour” will also air later in the show. (Angie picked up the The High School Musical East High Yearbook Dress-Up Collection for Halloween!)

All this talk about Brad’s 2004 CR interview got me curious. And it is interesting. He literally sits with arms crossed during the entire segment about his marriage. And though he puts his all into selling Troy, you don’t see him smile and get excited until he’s talking about his upcoming movie, MAMS. And then there’s this,
BP gives his “it’s a metaphor for marriage, blending genres” spiel.
CR: Would you do a movie like that with Jennifer?
BP: Um…we would have to be careful. We actually talked about it on this one.
Then he goes into how real-life couples in movies don’t usually work, blah, blah, blah.
But OMG, can you even imagine? Firstly, not only would he and Angelina have never hooked up, but Jennifer would’ve also totally ruined MAMS. There’s no way she could’ve played that role. And knowing what we do of how influential Brad was in choosing the female lead, I can’t help but think that she wanted to do it and he shot her down. I mean, he was literally on the phone to Angelina convincing her to do the movie, all while his wife was one of the other casting options. To those who think that Brad never had much respect for her talent (her wanting to play Mariane, him saying denying that was ever an option), I think you’re right. Cause it sure looks to me like he didn’t want her in MAMS.

CR: Is it beyond what you imagined?
BP: You know, I never spent a lot of time thinking about it. I knew it was a natural course for me.
CR: But you wanted it?
BP: Yeah… when I felt it was right. And I felt it was right, here. Obviously. Because (laughing), we’ve got to be setting some land speed record.
I do agree with some who were put off by CR’s constant interruptions, but I kinda felt that CR wanted to get as much in the interview as possible. I kinda got the vibe that CR would’ve made it a two-parter if he could and it wouldn’t be like CNN’s ‘Brad Uncensored’ scam. And unlike Oprah, he wasn’t about putting words into Brad’s mouth or grilling him about his relationship with Angelina. CR’s interruptions versus LK asking about Zahara pointedly… I absolutely would take CR over LK.
It was also good to hear his explanation about SOP and Jesse James. And I liked that he talked about how it’s getting harder to transition and that Daniel Day Lewis and Phillip Seymour Hoffman were excellent at immersing themselves into their characters.

Anyone else noticed Brad’s body language when he was talking about how corporations haven’t stepped up to this cause? He rubbed his ear and flicked at his nose as he talked about it. I’m not a body language expert, but I definitely got the vibe that Brad wasn’t too impressed with them.
Maybe I’m wrong.
But Brad seemed very grateful that private citizens are taking this into their hands, since they are the ones who have adopted the majority of the homes.
I just got through watching the interview. It was great despite CR ocasionally not letting Brad finish his train of thought. Brad is clearly happy with his life and the people in his life (aka Angelina/children). I like Brad’s humor.
I hope he has a great birthday with his family.

One of the things that nearly slip passed (sp) me was Brad mumbling about why the kids had to wake up so early in the morning. He was smiling his face off, but that was funny as h*ll to me.
