Heath Ledger Hangs Himself
…for a movie!
Heath Ledger was spotted shooting scenes for his upcoming fantasy film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in London Monday night.
In this scene, Heath was seen hanging from London’s Lambeth Bridge and was rescued by costar Andrew Garfield.
According to Film Ick, an early version of the script reveals several characters: a dwarf named Percy, a clowning, sleight-of-hand expert named Anton, a beautiful young woman named Valentina and her father Dr. Parnassus, who are all entertainers in a traveling theatre. Check out more about the movie’s plot at Wikipedia.
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is being directed by Terry Gilliam (The Brothers Grimm, 12 Monkeys) and is set for a 2009 release.

Take a look at comment #5 by Anon, he was right on. He got way too tied up with his characters, he really was an incredible performer. I feel this may have been what took his life.
Okay the title of the article is just fine - this guy just used it to catch people’s attention, that’s what writers do, grow up and get over it. And it is ironic that he died a month later, but that’s what life is, we never know when we’re gonna die. There really isn’t any debate over this and it doesn’t really matter if this little article is still up or not - life has more important bridges to cross, so start fighting about more important things.
Why should Jared change the title? He posted it way before Heath’s actual death. For posterity alone he should leave it up.
It’s creepy for sure.
# 74 actually my mom and I thought the same thing Ironic that after playing the character the Joker that he did die. Horrible and tragic I wonder though what doctor would perscribe the drugs together that killed him. I mean Heath said the perscriptions weren’t helping with depression, insomnia, and anxiety. So no he did NOT commit suicide and it was accidental but you would think a doctor would know better than to perscribe 6 different types of meds for Depression, Sleep and Anxiety (can’t spell). The only thing I could keep thinking about was has he died in a movie? It seems to me that once you die in a movie then you are safe in real life. Maybe not IDK but it sure is bizare and I agree with #74 the Joker would really appreciate the Irony of it all.
He’s dead now…OD…I’m sad. He was his best in TDK I think.
