You can’t keep a good woman down!
Kate Hudson comes up smiling on the January 2008 cover of Vogue. Here are some snippets from her interview:
On getting a divorce: “The most difficult thing I’ve ever done in my life. The process of discovering with somebody that you love that you don’t… work is so painful. And thank goodness I did it with Chris… We helped each other through it. Now we’re both single and since the day we separated, we talk multiple times.”
On the last year: “It was just an extremely giant sort of leap. I definitely feel like I’ve grown up a lot.”
On shooting Fool’s Gold in Australia: “It was a really interesting time for me. It was right when Chris and I were getting divorced, and I didn’t want to be so far away, because it was hard for us. And it was the first time I sent Ryder to be with Chris while I was working, and that was definitely difficult. But it was probably the best experience I’ve had to date, in terms of everything as a whole.”
On fear: “I just love to have fears because I love to be able to conquer them each day.”
On why it ended: “We had Ryder, and we both sort of looked at each other and went, ‘Something’s off.’”
On Matthew McConaughey: “We’re like brother and sister! We seem to drive each other crazy in a good way. Matthew kind of puts it perfectly when he says that we fight well and flirt well, and we’re perfect pains in each other’s ass.”
On gaining 70 pounds during pregnancy: “I would be eating ice cream and my mom would literally pry the spoon away from me, saying, ‘You’ve had enough to last you a lifetime.’”
On Owen Wilson: “Owen is such a lovely person, and I love him dearly. And I wish him beautiful things — health and everything that he desires in life.”

When I read that I was like boy it almost sounds like she is saying Rider is the cause of the failure of her marriage, but knowing how magazine like to edit stuff to their liking I am sure there was more to that and it was left out. Like you said if Angelina had made such a comment she would be called all kind of hateful names, scrutinized, and literally they would be ready to burn her alive. It’s all so high school to me.

I’m surprised nobody calls Kate Hudson a homewrecker for hooking up with Owen Wilson while she was married. America’s Sweethearts like Cameron Diaz and Julia Roberts get away with the homewrecker title, while people treat Jolie as if she’s the only homewrecker in history.
Oh, well. And la-dee-da. Is she kidding? This is worse than shallow. Ask any kid from divorced parents.

I like Kate but yeah I wouldn’t put it past editing her comments to sound like that. BUT please people, Chris was cheating and that was the demise of their relationship. Remember when she did an interview I think it was with Billy Bush and she said she just would “rather not know” and she doesn’t believe that people could be “monogamous with eacth other” soome crap like that.
I am sure he cheated and then she cheated and realised she not down with that and decided to get a divorce.

I think more than photoshop happened to her face. She is, or was, so adorable. I can’t imagine why she would have changed a thing?
And snaps for the Jolie Pitt comparison. Jolie could say she dreams of sleeping in one morning and the people who hate her would write novelettes on how that makes her an unfit parent.

Yeah, And nobody called this girl a slxt or whxre, how many guys did she slept with after cheating his husband and after dumping Owen. she change her boyfriend as fast as changing her cloth, so does Cameron Diaz, , Drew Barrymore . Jennifer Aniston, how amny guys did this ladies slept with after separating from their partner ?
I think if you were branded as the ” American sweetheart ” by the american media, you are free from the word S L U T for the rest your life.
