But we can be glad what we as fans have accomplished so far. Comparing with the previous years hardly that people take a part on gossiping about the permanent rumors regarding his sexuality. Such blogs are mostly ignored or you can find protective comments. In one of the blogs the gossipers are leading selfconversation. hey, just ran across these today. i just wanted to say i think its a bit funny that people are STILL insisting on talking about mr. martin’s sexual orientation like its 1999. weren’t we all talking about this 10 years ago??? with so many shows out there with gay characters, and ppl like perez hilton all over the telly, it’s amazing anyone still cares to discuss it. in my personal opinion, if ricky were to do that same barbara walters interview today and give the same answer nobody would care, but since he gave it in 2000, it’s like ppl can’t seem to get past it, you’re all stuck in the year 2000. as for his “has been” status, well, im not exaclty a big fan of his, he seems to be doing very well for himself, and his fans are as loyal as ever. in fact, i remember seeing him on regis and kelly like last year i think. and i know for a fact his black and white tour sold out because my cousin couldn’t get tickets (she’s a big fan) lastly, i would like to address his charity work, which is, i feel, the most noteworthy. most of his non fans would never know about all his humanitarian work he does. for katrina flood victims, for the tsunami survivours, for human trafficing of children… the list goes on. no one seems to know or care about these things but his fans, and personally, i commend that. the reason no one knows is because they’re too busy critisizing a man who does so much good for so many people. i don’t know where you guys are from on here, but i grew up in the south and down there, we were taught to judge a man/woman by their actions and deeds, not on silly things like apperence or sexual preferences. im glad ricky has the kind of unique corage and forgivness in him to keep doing good deeds, and even as many ppl in the world puts him down and belittles him, he still has the goodness to put a smile on his face and be greatful. what other celebrity out there can you say that about?
