Sam Woods: My Dad’s A World Tiger
Title-hungry Tiger Woods wins the Target World Challenge Golf Tournament by a record seven shots on Sunday at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
The 31-year-old golf champion had his family cheering him on the entire tourney–Swedish model wife Elin, mother Kultida and daughter Sam, almost 6 months.

As a Swede myself (not blonde), I must say that a very LARGE percentage of Swedish blondes aren’t born that way. At least half of all blondes (girls, women) in Sweden are blonde with the help of bleach (sales of which are humongous). Elin though, looks like a REAL blonde.

The golf tournament was 4 1/2 hours. Those pix were shot AT THE END OF THE TOURNAMENT JUST AS TIGER WAS WINNING —a moment in time— Do you suppose she sat with her arms folded the entire day? Have some sense.
Secondly, they are not respected in Sweden because of Tiger Woods. They may be more well know now because of him, but the parents earned their reputation from hard work - one a government minister, the other a new bureau chief in Washington DC and a well-known author.
He didn’t meet her at a friend’s house. He met her at the British Open during the summer of 2001 where she was working as au pair for another golfer. She did work as a model, au pair and store attendant to earn money while in university. She wasn’t aspiring to be a model anymore than she was aspiring to be a store attendant. It was a one-time gig. That’s how college student earn money during the summer.
Don’t rag on people you know nothing about. Who do you think looks after Sam 24/7 because they don’t have a nanny?

So what she is giving a space for the grandmother to enjoy her grand kid whats wrong with that? She was not gonna grab her baby from her thats not respectful, I think She is a good mom and good daughter in law she is letting the grandma enjoy her baby whats wrong with that?

pinkrose: respek! absolutely right re the cultural thing, i know from experience. i have a much harder time conforming to that than elin seems to, but i can vouch for it: asian chicks raise their kids (boys in particular) to worship their butts.

Tiger is a very charming, likeable man, even if he has not aged so well. Ellen is a natural blonde beauty, and an accomplished woman. A great many Swedis women are natural blondes; some aren’t of course, but the greater majority are. They make a great couple. Even without his money and athletic success, Tiger would have married someone like her. He’s not like many professional black athletes, who lack manners or culture, and are boring as hell, yet ‘mysteriously’ get gorgeous wives. I wish Tiger and Ellen much happiness.
There is a lot of hate for Tiger and his family on this site. Could it have been a little chilly; thus Elin crossing her arms?. Is she more comfortable sitting that way?. I know I cross my arms when I sit, it’s very comfortable for me. I never gave a thought as to how others perceived it. I still won’t.
Elin is comfortable with her mother-in-law holding Sam, thus she is relaxed. She knows Sam is in good hands, thus, she doesn’t have the “i must watch you like a hawk, because I don’t trust you stare”.
Elin is watching Tiger, his mother is enjoying her grandchild. Get over it haters. It’s just too bad his dad is not alive to enjoy his grandchild. I’m sure Tiger and Elin sorely miss him at this time in their lives.

GORGEOUS baby!!!! My son is biracial and is the most handsome guy EVER! You can talk all the hate you want but when we fall in love we make beautiful babies together.

the relentless comments that attack tiger just seems proof to me that racism lives. not only is tiger attacked for his choice of a blonde wife, it’s also the fact that he chose a white woman.
a commenter defended tiger by stating that tiger was cultured, ‘unlike many professional black atheletes,’ which hardly seems like a compliment if you think about it

Actually, the comment about the lack of culture and manners could apply to most professional athletes, not just black ones. It was what I meant to say. I was just pointing out that many professional atheltes manage to get attractive wives because of their money and fame, not because they are interesting people or even attractive to look at. But no one comments on it with white athletes. When a black athlete is with a white woman, everyone takes notice, though, because black men with white women is still so taboo. I only mentioned the race thing to point out that Tiger can not be accused of being uncultivated.
