Who cares? Poison-Pitts BD…so what…..

All this talk about Brad’s 2004 CR interview got me curious, so I just watched. And while there’s a lot of interesting stuff, this was the part that made me go, “Wha??”

Talking about Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad gives his “it’s a metaphor for marriage, blending genres” spiel. And then this exchange happens.

CR: Would you do a movie like that with Jennifer?
BP: Um…we would have to be careful. We actually talked about it on this one.

Then he goes into how real-life couples in movies don’t usually work, blah, blah, blah.

OMG, there was a chance Jen might’ve done MAMS. Can you even imagine? What a disaster. And how different would so many peoples’ lives be today if she had? And knowing what we do of how influential Brad was in choosing the female lead, I can’t help but think that she wanted to do it and he shot her down. I mean, he was literally on the phone to Angelina convincing her to do the movie, all while his wife was one of the other casting options. To those who think that Brad never had much respect for her talent (her wanting to play Mariane, him saying denying that was ever an option), I think you’re right. Cause it sure looks to me like he didn’t want her in MAMS.

I caught the second half of Charlie Rose and Brad is too funny. I nearly fainted when i saw the hat. I was thinking how people who hate the hate was climbing the walls by now. He was so cute when he explained the hat to Charlie. He was like a little boy knowing full well he was annoying the heck out of everyone. Even Charlie asked “why the hat”? LOL!!!! I just about pissed on my self when he said that the hat was wearing its welcome out so he was gonna get another one to change. Brad…people don’t want to see you with ANY hat on LOL!!!!

There must be a movie-industry equation that determines a Hollywood superstar—some series of variables (looks, talent, chances of dating an attractive costar, ability to generate gossip fodder, etc.) that, when placed in a studio executive’s formula, adds up to a bankable celebrity. In the current cosmos of stars, there is probably no brighter light than the kind radiating off of actor Brad Pitt. And certainly from his first appearance in the role that pushed him into popular appeal, as the bad-boy seducer in 1991’s Thelma & Louise, Pitt had all of the obvious traits of an actor that could equal icon status. The Missouri native clearly had the looks, so much so that today Pitt pretty much exemplifies ultimate male beauty in the early 21st century. Today, Pitt is still going rogue in Hollywood. Some guys at work were discussing what fans they were and that Brad has a solid base of men that no one thinks he has.
Then they were naming the films they liked which are now almost legendary. They named Seven, Kalifornia,12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Interview with a Vampire, The Mexican and Snatch. I included Legends of the Fall which I thought he was better in than A River Runs Through It. That’s enough to talk about for more than and hour. Fight Club on it’s own is a brand with blogs all over cyberspace just on that movie alone. The studios really missed out on marketing this film.

Some of Brad’s films don’t make a lot of noise with the public when they come out (unlike Oceans, Troy or MMS) but it’s only years later that people are like WOW that was great.

Well, well, well…another year has passed. Honestly, it’s amazing how time flies, It seems like it was only yesterday we had that cyber party celebrating Papa Pitt’s 43rd BD… and here we are again. Last year, he had just 3 Pittlets, today he’s got 4. Last year, he played more of a supportive role to AJ’s charity works; this year…he is spearheading his own. Last year, some predicted it was over for him career wise; this year was called the year of Brad Pitt…not only was a producer of critically acclaimed movies; he was also praised for his work. I don’t know what kind of Karma the Faniston Heifers having been wishing on him (and his family) but I tell ya, whatever it is…I wouldn’t mind some of it coming my way. Seriously.

In honor of this good man, father and partner, I am posting this birthday prayer I came across awhile back (I’ve sent it to a few people and they all seemed to like it). I know BP is never gonna read this…but I think that’s the beauty of this and all other Birthday wishes and prayer posted by fans….we know the chances of the JPs coming across how wishes for them is slim to none yet is doesn’t stop us from doing it. Big corporations what to buy up that property and develop it. They don’t want the people to return to NO. Even though these are the people, and the descendents of the people who made New Orleans, New Orleans. Without these people there would be no New Orleans, they created the food, the jazz, the blues, the Madri Gras, the funeral dirges slowly winding down the streets horns blaring feet shuffling to the beat. These people are the heart and soul of New Orleans. Hell they are New Orleans.They can bring in new people to cook the recipes, but it won’t have that soul. I read an article that stated they were underpopulated, and they needed workers. These are the workers. The people would worked in the service industries. The schools. The hospitals. The resturants and cafes. Brad understands this. And he speaks of it with such loving warmth and appreciation.

I loved his body language when he was talking about TAOJJ, “Hurry, kill him already.” And he leans forward. He is hilarious, sweet, intelligent, warm, and he self-deprecating. He is comfortable within his skin. His body language changed several times. Noticeably when he spoke about the lack of donations from corporations. When talked about Angie and his children, sort of happy wiggle. When he mentioned GC. He, IMHO, lowered his head slightly. There were other times. But for me these three stick out.

Thank you for posting the CR interview from 2004. I had never seen it. The difference between the two is markedly different. But even in the 04 interview when CR mentioned MMS he smiled. He never smiled when speaking about x. He also mentioned wanting 6 or 7 children. I guess that is what he and Angie are aiming for. It’s funny how people who are all about the homeless are such mutes and so invisible when they are asked to donate to charity. Maybe that’s because they know that MIR will keep 75 cents on the dollar in their own pockets and line the glitteratti with a good amount of that.

What about Bette Midler, doesn’t she have 5 million to give to the homeless? What about Down and Out in Beverly Hills? What about Striesand? Yentle should have 5 million for the homeless. She cares about all of the poor, right? No, no, they want easy money, they don’t give away easy money, especially when the founders of MIR most likely will be spending her money on English manors and Rolls Royces and the other 25 cents on the dollar will only go to advertising and book keeping.
