Too bad the whole interview isn’t available online. That interview is begging for a drinking game. Whenever Brad takes a sip, we would take a sip.

I caught the second half of Charlie Rose and Brad is too funny. I nearly fainted when i saw the hat. I was thinking how people who hate the hate was climbing the walls by now. He was so cute when he explained the hat to Charlie. He was like a little boy knowing full well he was annoying the heck out of everyone. Even Charlie asked “why the hat”? LOL!!!! I just about pissed on my self when he said that the hat was wearing its welcome out so he was gonna get another one to change. Brad…people don’t want to see you with ANY hat on LOL!!!!
All in all a good interview and very funny about him producing films.

All this talk about Brad’s 2004 CR interview got me curious, so I just watched. And while there’s a lot of interesting stuff, this was the part that made me go, “Wha??”
Talking about Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad gives his “it’s a metaphor for marriage, blending genres” spiel. And then this exchange happens.
CR: Would you do a movie like that with Jennifer?
BP: Um…we would have to be careful. We actually talked about it on this one.
Then he goes into how real-life couples in movies don’t usually work, blah, blah, blah.
OMG, there was a chance Jen might’ve done MAMS. Can you even imagine? What a disaster.

There was NEVER a chance that X would end up in M&MS. First of all, Brad has said in other interviews that they’d decided to keep work and home separate and wouldn’t act in any movies together. Brad was being polite. Just like he was being polite about the state of his “marriage”. This interview was in early May 2004. X admitted in the Vogue interview that she knew for sure that they were kaput BY SUMMER, so that means no later than mid-June 2004.
Secondly…HELLO! No studio on the planet would have or will cast X in an action movie. Can’t you just see the bemusement on the studio execs’ faces if someone had or doessuggest her? “Rachel? You want to cast Rachel as a female assassin? Really? Rachel?” And then the guy would fall over laughing. End of considering X.

Y’all really need to check out the MIR NOLA site - I just did and bought several caps like he wears and some of the T shirts. This year family and friends are getting cool gifts and the money is going to a good cause. Yes, I’m one of those who shops really late and all the gifts are always late for Christmas and come with a Happy New Year card…… Could not get the bag because it was sold out but will order it for myself after the first of the year.
