Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old sister of Britney, is 12 weeks pregnant!!!!!!
The Zoey 101 star says the father is her longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. Here are some interview snippets via OK!:
On the pregnancy news being a shock to her and Casey: “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”
On keeping the news to herself when she first found out: “As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody. Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”
On her mother not liking the news of her pregnancy: “[My mom Lynne] was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all. A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”
On her future with Nickelodeon series Zoey 101: “I haven’t spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities.”
On the message she’s sending to other teens about premarital sex: “I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait. But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in.”
This will be mom Lynne’s third grandchild (Britney has two young sons herself). “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious,” Lynne says. “She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”
Nickelodeon’s statement: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

Miapocca, that’s fine, and I respect your opinion. The reason that Nickelodeon won’t tolerate it is because when you’re on Nick and Disney, really young girls idolize you, and although not all people see something wrong with having sex as a teenager, many people do, and they have to be able to appeal to all audiences. I totally understand where you’re coming from though, because most teens are having sex. It’s simply a big deal because she is idolized by so many young girls. Same thing with the whole Vanessa Hudgens thing.
Jamie Lynn Spears did not get paid up front by Ok! Magazine for basically giving them the story of the year. Jamie Lynn didn’t ask for money. Instead she got a back-end deal. Yeah, that’s what got her into this mess in the first place.
TMZ reports that JL will get $1 million for a photo shoot with her baby when it’s born. Why wait then? She should give them her ultrasound photos. Start the pimpin’ now!
Lynne Spears went to Ok! Magazine, because she liked the way they handled Britney’s whole metldown photo shoot with them. When Lynne found out JL was knocked up she called Ok! to give them the exclusive. She told them they had to keep Britney out of it.
That’s not hard. Britney is ALWAYS out of it.
TMZ also claims Jamie Lynn is more than 12 weeks pregnant and think she’s going to pop in the Spring.
Well I was 23 and married 5 years before I had my daughter. Now she’s 18 and pregnant. I also have gone to school for over 20 years, now I’m 41 working on my masters degree and my daughter does not want to go to school. We can parent these kids till we are blue in the face - it won’t matter. Kids do what they want to do evidently.

Girls and young women are presented in popular culture as nothing more than blow-up dolls for dirty old men to get off on. So, duh, teen girls see blatant sexualization as the ticket to fame and wealth. Oh wait! It gets BETTER! As for having an abortion, it’s too late. I think she is way further along than the 12 weeks they are claiming. There were rumors she was pregnant way back during the summer.
