OlderJamie Lynn Spears is Pregnant
Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old sister of Britney, is 12 weeks pregnant!!!!!!
The Zoey 101 star says the father is her longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge. Here are some interview snippets via OK!:
On the pregnancy news being a shock to her and Casey: “It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”
On keeping the news to herself when she first found out: “As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn’t tell anybody. Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone’s opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me.”
On her mother not liking the news of her pregnancy: “[My mom Lynne] was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all. A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.”
On her future with Nickelodeon series Zoey 101: “I haven’t spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities.”
On the message she’s sending to other teens about premarital sex: “I definitely don’t think it’s something you should do; it’s better to wait. But I can’t be judgmental because it’s a position I put myself in.”
This will be mom Lynne’s third grandchild (Britney has two young sons herself). “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious,” Lynne says. “She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”
Nickelodeon’s statement: “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

It seems as if everyone’s pregnant nowadays…. Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Jamie Lynn Spears, Christina A., Lily Allen… the list goes on… what’s with this baby boom?
You would think she of all people would know what examples not to follow. Atleast Brtiney was married/ not that young when she had kids. This clearly wasn’t planned, but I do hope she ends up being a better parent then Britney and her own mother. Ofcourse the chances of that happening are probably not too high.
I think it’s statatory rape but I don’t know abouit Californa laws. Her parents may have given consent but who knows? So now this girl who hasn’t finished HS and a driver’s license is responsiblef or raising another human being. she’s not even finshed growing herself. OK.

LYNNE SPEARS needs to PARENT her children better. Nobody is talking about parenting her NOW, she should have parented her children better so they do NOT turn out the way these 2 girls did!

The family is a total mess, at least , Britney was married and at the proper age of pregnancy, Jamie was just a kid. Their parents are to be blamed on how they raised these two kids.

To the people who were asking why JLS would go to OK magazine and not just issue a press release, it’s because OK was the highest bidder! They want to make money, even off of this. And for the people that say that JL will have money to support a child, dream on. Britney has money. JL will surely be dropped from Nickeoldeon, her career is over. Even if she saved every dime, it won’t be enough to raise a kid for the next 18 years.
I won’t call JL trash, but her mother sure as hell is.
