OlderSaint Nic Gives ‘Compass’ To Kids
Nicole Kidman (in Prada) brings smiles to an audience of sick children, their families and the staff of Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick as she hosts a special screening of The Golden Compass on Tuesday.
“This is a small gesture and I would just like to say I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year,” she said. “I play a villain in this film, so to all the little kids – don’t stay.”
“You put a big smile on all our faces and make us feel happy,” said 7-year-old cancer patient Cooper Smeaton. “Thank you for everything you do for us, we love you.”
“We’re deeply grateful to Nicole for her constant generosity,” foundation CEO Elizabeth Crundall said. “For many of the children attending this screening it will be a rare and welcome break from fighting a serious illness in hospital. Nicole’s ongoing support, kindness and dedication is extraordinary.”
The screening was held at Hoyts Fox Studios in the Entertainment Quarter of Sydney, Australia.

She’s about as private as anyone you see in Hollywood. We really only see her or hear about her unless she has to do press for a movie she’s in or if she’s being followed by paparrazi. I’m not exactly sure where the publicity wh*re label she’s being given comes from.

How come no one question why she and Tom have not been seen with Bella and Connor for over a year, since their wedding. Cate Blanchett - is there any film festivals left that she has not attended in 2007? Her PR team is hands down the busiest in 2007 trying to get her on EVERY magazine cover and EVERY film festival. Why is it no one ever question why she’s traveling all over the world for every freaking film festival and photoshoot and not spending any time with her kids????

It’s just funny how Nicole can disappear when she wants too but the paps can find her in the middle of Boston (when nothing is going on up there..had to start the rumors on the ring), some little cafe in upstate NY (first known date) or in the middle of a park in Nashville where no one else appeared to be with them. They were just walking hand in hand through the middle of the park (4th of July I believe) and how about when on a hoiiday, they had a gym in Nashville open up just for them to workout and yet Keith had a complete gym in his house. Seems to me they could have stayed in the nice private house and workout out..but than how would we have known how in love they are???

She wasn’t wearing her wedding rings because she was also working on the movie, “Australia” that day. They finish today in Sydney. The place where the movie was screened in on the grounds of where the film is being shot. Are you going to wear your wedding rings to the movie set with a chance of getting them stoelen? I think not! She was wearing them on Sunday & said she & Keith spending Christmas in Australia.
oh yes, what a class act she is. she’s at a children’s event for cancer victims and she shows up in another see thru dress. oh wait, she did put another bow in her hair, so i guess that makes up for the dress. so innocent and all you know.
nice cheeks there nicole. and those cheeks are not photoshopped. hey if someone photoshopped those pics, they didn’t do a good job. they should have given her a new face to go with it. she looks old, especially in the profile ones. not very becoming at all.

i have to agree deb. not everyone who dislikes nicole is a keith fan. obviously i am a keith fan, but i wasn’t keen on the woman before she hooked up with him. and no, it isn’t because secretly i think i can snag keith for myself. i don’t live in a delusional world like many of you think we do. it’s simply what she does, how she portrays herself thru her movies, what she says, what she doesn’t do, how she can’t show one ounce of affection for her current husband. she showed plenty of affection for her ex, but this one, nothing.
You must not be looking at the same pictures of Keith & Nicole that I have then or been reading or listening to their interviews.
actually i have been reading the same articles you have.. she has recently been talking about how much she loves him. but it took a long time for her to even give any hint. and did you read the one where she said she can’t say she’s happy?? because she doesn’t know what will happen from the time she gives the interview to the time it goes to print? those weren’t her exact words, but pretty close to them. and yet keith has been saying how happy and balanced he is. how she has saved him and all and he’s in such a good place because of her. geeze, if balanced means flying around the world every 12 days so she doesn’t have to, then i don’t know what to say. i would think she could fly to see him too. the only traveling she does is for one of her events.
