The Barbados babe shot the cover at New York City’s Lux Studio with Robin Thicke’s CD, The Evolution of Robin Thicke, playing in the background.
On her so-called fling with Josh Hartnett: “I went to [the club] Pink Elephant, and he came by. All of a sudden, the next day I’m seeing that we were kissing and hugging up each other. You can’t even go out with a friend who’s a celebrity and have a good time without people making shit up…well, at least he’s good-looking, right?”
On regularly clearing up American misconceptions about Barbados: “I can’t get upset. They just don’t know. (Barbadians speak English, have roads, and use indoor toilets.)”
On chopping her hair off into a precise bob and dying it black like Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux: “My friends still live in Barbados, and they let me know that everyone asks for the ‘Rihanna haircut.’”
On being teased growing up for having paler skin than her peers: “I was cultured in a very ‘black’ way. But when I got to school I’m being called ‘white’…they would look at me, and they would curse me out. I didn’t understand.”

The one major thing about this girl is just that she does not sell…
I say this because look at all the mags she has been in an none of them had major sales due to her being on the cover are a article inside the mag, she is cute but she has no talent………and everyone knows this……..
And I love how when ever she is not selling she always seems to either bring up her and J or her and B or her and her ex crack addict dad to sell her self and this still does not help her oh and lets not forget she goes back to something about Barbados.
How many times now has she let her guard down this year in a mag…STOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP there are so many sob stories you can tell…

Rihanna, I don’t know if you’ve noticed but you aren’t particularly thick, nor do you have a huge butt. (And for a country whose beauty standard is “skinny,” there do seem to be an awful lot of Americans who like curves.)

As a TRINIDADIAN….I can tell you she is not considered fair by ANY stretch of the imagination.
SEAN PAUL is fair and looks damn near white.
She is white-washed and NEEDS to stop taking the caribbean backwards with her asinine statements about race relations.

I am from the Caribbean and I must say that there are some ignorant indiviuals, who resort to calling people names. It is also true that people who are of a darker complexion are overlooked sometimes in business places because of the type of customers, that may visit these establishments bec they feel that having a dark person will scare the lighter skinned people or whites away. But I must say that this is becoming less ie that kind of bias. But it still exists. There are still parents who become alarmed if their son or daughter brings home a darkie, and many of our C’bbean men feel that fairer women are better, as it raises their status quo or self image; so we can’t deny this nonsense exists.
I have been to Barbados many times and there are some there who are very colour uptight. So I can understand where people of a dark and light complexion are coming from. I do believe that Rihanna must have been teased, but she should understand it was in the folly of youth, who were fuelled by the images society had already concotced of light skinned people… you know that they were way better etc… we can’t deny that. It happens in my country too.
Rihanna isn’t white. She is a black woman that has a fair complexion. I have cousins who are a lot paler than she is. I am dark skinned but on both sides of my family my great great grand parents were white. I have a bro who is dark skinned, but has straight hair. But in the US or Europe they would think he permed it, bec to them blacks have a certain kinda hair/complexion.
Skin colour is just the gene doing its own thing. I like Rihanna, but she isn’t pale and she isn’t white either. Her features are not caucasian features either. when she stands or sits next to a white person you see a difference… you know who is who.
MOst people from the Caribbean are of mixed race.
It’s silly when we let race and identity get in the way.
Also I hate it when people say things like: She is nice for a darkie as if dark girls not nice… why can’t they just say she is a beautiful woman, period. This is the stuff that exists in the C’bbean. What we need to do is as a society and a world is grow up and forget about colour, class and identity and focus on what’s in the heart. There is a person beyond the colour.
actually perry, yo isn’t jealous of rihanna at all i think they’re just being real about it. i went to schook with rihanna and i can tell u that she does have green eyes. thats for damn sure lol

ok, here is the thing
1) her eyes are naturally hazel. i went school wit her.she comes back to Barbados to visit.i see her dad like almost every day.i had to c her everyday especially wen she faked running at P.E around the field, or ” sat this one out” each class.
2) she was never teased because of her complexion, at school she wasnt that light.she was teased cause of the spots that she had all over her legs that looked like chicken poxs…wonder where those went.and even then people didnt tease he that much cuz she was pat of some “elite” crews
3) in Barbados, we are very advanced as well as a beautiful country.we build our houses from wood or real cement, we dont use drywall, we use real bricks through out, not rocks, bricks and cement
we do everything that America and England does and has.and every Barbadian has the opportunity to own a car, a house and optionally a pool, depending on ur neighborhood.
4)No one use to exhibit any sort of racism towards her as i implied, so for her to say something like that is very hurtful, i loved her new album, my favourite song must be breaking dishes but afta wat she said, thats a shameful lie.she jus lost my support.she wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed, but she went to the secondary school ranking third in education in the island and infamous for the amount of entertainers and athletes it produced.students from our school went to america and england and graduate top of the class all the time. she makes us sound shut in, all of our schools are mixed.we have white, black, Indian, ricj, poor, middle class etc.everyone respects everyone, except for her and a few of her pals who felt they owned the school. but those are my best days at any educational institution.
i hope she keeps the Barbadian flag flying high, and remember God and remains true to herself, and don’t try to conform or play ythe pity card to arise sympathy or push her career.you get further being honest than u do lying girl.continue with the good music but don’t lie like that again.
all her friends weren’t stuck up, jus a few but she did have a few kind ones, so lemme clarify that. she had an ok voice but she shudnt have left her two friends she used to sing with.beyonce didnt leave destiny’s child, they grew together and then they separated, rihanna drop dem fast , or there wud b two mo girls singing with her.and they were some of the kind ones funny huh.
