OlderJamie Lynn Spears: I Want To Find Out the Sex of the Baby Because I’m Impatient
New OK! interview snippets from 16-year-old mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears have surfaced via CBB.
On telling Casey: [I called Casey after the doctor's appointment and met in person the next day.] It was something we couldn’t really talk about over the phone. We met and talked about everything and decided what we wanted to do. He was 100 percent supportive, and we figured it out.
On telling her mother: [I told my mom right before Thanksgiving.] She was very upset because it wasn’t what she expected at all. A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive.
On her first ultrasound: [Mom and Casey were there.] I was just kinda sitting there. I didn’t expect to be able to see all that. Again, it was a shock. At first, everything is so shocking and you’re scared. But then when I saw it, I was like ‘It’s going to be okay.’ It’s things like that that make you realize it’ll be okay.
On her body: I think it’s something that you just know how to do. As your body changes and all these things happen, I think it becomes natural to know what to do. I will have to be strong and do what’s right. I’m sure it’ll get hard at times. I’m sure I’ll be grumpy. I have to remember in the end that I have to stand up and be strong.
I’m not showing, but some days I’m like: ‘Wow, I feel like I’m showing today,’ and Mom says: ‘No you’re not. Be quiet.’ It’s great to have her there. She is really supportive of me.

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS SAYS…
On believing she’ll be a good mom: I love babies, and I have my nephews that I love. I have a great mom and she has raised three kids, so if I take lessons from her, I think I’ll be great. All my friends have little brothers or sisters.
On the sex of the baby: I want to find out as soon as I can because I’m impatient. I just want a healthy, happy baby, so the whether it’s a boy or a girl really doesn’t matter.
On names: I haven’t thought about baby names yet. I would have to hear some options!
On morning sickness: I definitely had sickness, but it’s getting better. It was at its worst a few weeks ago.
On not having any cravings: I haven’t really got much of an appetite right now. I mean, I eat, but I’m not going crazy or anything.
On preparations such as the nursery: I haven’t even had time to think about that much yet as I have had so much going on. All you can be is excited now, so definitely, I will be excited.
On marriage and the living situation: Jamie Lynn wants to make clear that they do not live together — she lives with Lynne, while he lives with his parents.
Right now, we’re just focusing on the baby and having a healthy baby. We’re trying just to think about that right now so we haven’t really talked about that.
On Casey as a father: He has always been good with babies. He’s like a big teddy bear, especially around babies, so I know he’ll make a good dad.
On her hopes for 2008: Just to have a healthy baby and a healthy pregnancy and for everything to fall in place and to become a stronger person from here.
MOMMA LYNNE SPEARS SAYS…
On finding out Jamie Lynn was pregnant: She came to me and said: ‘Mom, I have to tell you something. Here, it’s in a note.’ I was taken aback. I read the note, which of course said that she was pregnant, and ran into the living room. I said: ‘I don’t believe this. This is not funny!’ I looked at Casey, and he was staring straight ahead. She said: ‘Yes, Momma, it’s true.’
On if Jamie Lynn and Casey should get married: We’re not going there. We’re focusing on the baby. We’ve got so much to focus on right now.
On grandchildren: My grandsons are so adorable! Of course, another little boy would be precious, but a little girl would be precious too. It doesn’t matter so long as it’s healthy — that’s what’s important.
Her hopes for 2008: Health, peace, happiness and a real good healthy focus for life, for all [my children's] lives.

You people sicken me with your labeling. Just because she is pregnant doesn’t mean she is a ****** hoe or trailer trash. Get a grip. A LOT of 16 year olds get pregnant these days it’s nothing new. People make mistakes and unfortunately Jamie did just that, and she is taking responsibility for that.
Seriously have you people NEVER seen a 16 year old or even younger girl be pregnant before?
It’s not really fair to Jamie if you judge her on what kind of person she is because of what her siblings have done in their life. Yeah she may be 16 and pregnant but that doesn’t mean she is anything like her sister. She’s not off partying, or doing drugs, or drinking. I for one think she is a well rounded teenager who happened to make a mistake. I’m sure she doesn’t want to be call a **** or ***** just because she got pregnant. Just give her a god damn break. This is a huge thing for her and she has never done anything bad in her life. This isn’t a bad thing. It’s just something that happened. You can’t judge her by a mistake.
I support the way Miley’s family handled her pregnancy way better. They did not go running to the media and sell the story to the rags for a million dollars. They created the false flag rumour that a web page had been hacked and everyone went for it. That was genious on behalf of Disney and Miley’s legal team. This way her tour could continue to rake in the dollars and the pregnancy went ‘away’. I don’t think she is due in the spring because people in the Disney camp swear she had the fetus aborted.

Everyone is being so hateful on here! Obviously, everyone makes mistakes and she is doing the right thing and taking responsibility. I’m sure this baby will be very loved. There is no law that just because she’s 16 she can’t be a great mother. And what do you expect her mother to do hate this child! No! You just have to get over the fact that she is young and then you start focusing on this baby. Which is exactly what they have done.

that whole Miley thing was hilarious. They totally got everyone off of Miley’s back by planting that ‘web page got hacked thing’ Miley quietly visited the clinic and no one was the wiser. If the Spears had some decent publicists they could have avoided the whole “pregnancy” thing just like Miley did. Now Miley is back as a big star and all her fans think “it was just a hacked webpage”.

i think it’s disturbing that epople think a big deal is ONLY being made b/c she is famous. no, it’s b/c she’s 16 years old. people are claiming that alot of 16 year old girls get pregnant……..really? where? in my 29 years of life i have never knowingly met a pregnant person under the age of probably 24. where do you people come from that this is acceptable and not a problem? i’m from the south (where supposedly underage motherhood is the norm) and i’ve just never come across this “breed” of human being. yes, i refer to them as another breed because this is how animals are expected to behave not supposedly moral people. animals don’t have common sense or standards for behavior. an animal’s sole purposes are to survive and to breed…..and this is obviously the spear’s daughter’s two goals in life…..with not much more in consideration. maybe i associate with a higher quality group of people…..b/c this sh*t (and it is SH*T) is not acceptable, understandable or forgivable. i hope Viacom fires her. she and her boyfriend (if they are still even really together) thought they were “adult” enough to have sex ….obviously, they weren’t since they didn’t know how to do it safely. now she could lose a career that she was very lucky to have in the first place and no one has mentioned how he plans to help provide. whatever, it’s their problem. i just feel bad for that poor baby (just like i feel badly for jayden and sean) and the horror of a family he/she is going to be born into. the spears parents (lynn and jamie) should be ashamed of themselves and the poorly raised children they have put into the world.

i love to watch zoey 101. i’m not gonna watch anymore. i think that guys should get pregnant instead of girls, because it’s the guys’ fault that the condom breaks, or they forget to use a condom, and even that they decide to have sex with the girls, and it’s really there fault that they get pregnant. don’t blame her, blame him.

I think lynn should still release the book. Her 16 year old daughter gets knocked up by a grown man, not married (probably can’t legally marry anyhow) and she has a book on parenting? ha, if she’s the ideal parent, i’d hate to see the bad parents out there
