Picture perfect couple Woody Allen and Soon-Yi Previn attend the New York screening of his new film Cassandra’s Dream at NYC’s Tribeca Grand Screening Room on Tuesday.
Cassandra’s Dream, which stars Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor, opens in limited release on Jan. 18, 2008.
The iconic director turned 72 earlier this month while his wife is a young 37-years-old.

Soon Yi gained international attention in 1992 when it was revealed she was having a relationship with her mother’s long-time romantic partner, Woody Allen. Her adoptive mother, Mia Farrow, had one biological and two adopted children with Allen. Farrow discovered the affair when she found nud3 photographs of her adopted daughter, taken by Allen in his apartment. The press coverage was negative, not only because of her familial relation to Allen’s long-time partner and to his children, but also because of the 35-year age difference between Previn and Allen. Wikipedia is information submitted by the public. Re-read what you posted. It was contraversial because of Soon Yi’s relationship with MIA FARROW because he was involved with her. Soon Yi is not Woody Allen’s adopted daughter. Nor was he a father figure to her.

I love Woody Allen’s films…he’s a genius!! And if you are seriously boycotting an actor or filmmaker based on their personal choices, then you might as well never go see another movie again.
Anyone who said she was his daughter is WRONG! Mia adopted Soon-Yi with her 2nd husband. And Woody never really lived with Mia during their relationship so we don’t know if he was close to her or not. The other children even said they didn’t have a bond with him. I agree it was wrong mainly for the fact that she was Mia’s daughter and therefore, that is a betrayal, but get your facts right about Soon-Yi’s relation to him.
Also, no one seems to mention that while the scandal happened with Woody and Soon-Yi, Mia accused him of molesting their five year old adopted daughter Dylan. The court ruled that the child was coached by Mia and therefore, was not sexually molested by him. Who would force their 5 year old daughter to lie about their father in that manner and subject her to something she never should have been exposed to?
This story goes both ways…Woody was wrong, but Mia also reacted cruelly and vicious…Woody and Soon-Yi have been together forever now, so it doesn’t even matter…they love each other and it’s not for me or anyone else to understand…

That’s sick crap. he’s talented(as long as he stays BEHIND the lense or else he makes an a** of himself, especially as he gets older), but talk about boundary issues. Of all the people in the world to go for, he goes for his partner’s kid and a child he watched grow up. Nasty old man.

Get over yourself! Woody Allen is brilliant- haven’t you ever heard of people being attracted to intelligence over looks? Look at Marilyn Monroe- she married Arhtur Miller who was a total bookworm. A genius writer, but not attractive and definitely older than her. And why even mention their looks? If they love each other, it doesn’t matter what they look like. Talk about vain people- get over it!
and as for mia reacting “viciously”—I”m sorry but if he was most likely banging your teenage daughter as your partner of many years, is it really a stretch to worry he had his hands on other cookies in the familial cookie jar? I wouldn’t be suprised. Again, it’s all about boundary issues. He obviously has really crappy ones.
arthur miller is a hot piece next to woody allen. He was also not a parental figure of hers, nor was she getting it on with arthur as a teenager. apples and oranges.

read up on the incident…Dylan was on camera and it was obvious Mia was telling her what to say…she was examined and there was no evidence he did anything to her. The court dismissed the charges completely! And she was 5!!! Any decent mother would never manipulate their daughter to accuse their father of crimes they didn’t commit. That is sick in my book.
Woody Allen had problem by justice with Mia Farrow because she accuse him by sexual abuse her another young adoptive daughter. It is the advantage to win lot of money in this luxurious prostitution house of Hollywood. You can bribe the authorities in USA. This country is abandon by their governors and everybody can do what they want to kill the people in schools etc…And this old, old, old men would like to show the people that something in his body function.

Woody Allen “brilliance” is obviously compartmentalized. To cheat on your common law wife with her young daughter, taking graphic pictures of her when y ou are so much older than her, shows he’s emotionally retarded and a real a** on top of it. That’s despicable behavior right there, I don’t care how talented he is as a director and writer.

No, it doesn’t exempt you from anything you do and I completely agreed that the relationship was wrong because Mia was his partner and that was an ultimate form of betrayal. I agree with everyone there.
What I am saying is that while we may think their relationship is sick, they have been together ever since then. They are married. They have children. It is really not for us to understand.
I took up for him some (playing a devil’s advocate) because I think that people forget everything Mia did in response to his and Soon-Yi’s relationship. They only remember he slept with his partner’s daughter. I pointed out that she was wrong in making up molestation charges against him (proven to be false) just to enact revenge. The victim was her 5-year old daughter. If she really loved her children, then why compromise your child in that way?
And I mentioned the brilliance because far too many people kept mentioning how ugly he was and Soon-Yi. Looks have little to do with anything.
And Roman Polanski is a different situation. Woody was never convicted of any criminal charges. Polanski was convicted of rape and left the country to avoid serving his sentence. He cannot re-enter the United States without serving his sentence.
I think what we must realize is that Hollyowood tends to forgive and forget people’s crimes and scandals. Polanski won a best director Oscar for The Pianist. He is still upheld as a really talented director. That is just how it works. Most actors would stand in line to work with Woody Allen.

The films of Woody Allen are failure and they are frequently a financial disaster. Lot of filmakers of Hollywood must help him like Steven Spielberg etc. to help in his difficulties…He must go out of Spain and end his film in USA because the newspaper discovered that he would make his film with the tax of spanish people…Look this parasite. I hope that here in Europa we haven’t to pay taxs for this parasites fool that they work and we must give money for disaster!!!

you don’t know if mia was doing the charges for simple revenge honestly. just cause she was pumping the kid for certain responses doesn’t mean she wanted simple revenge. If a man is willing to sleep with one of your own daughters that he has known since before she hit puberty(that’s what I just read when I googled this up from a time magazine) and has had regular familial contact with for years, that’s a big red flag. It’s not just the cheating even-it’s more he picked his lovers and long term gf’s daughter who was very young. Age and their association is what is ten times more jarring then him cheating.
And I’m not suprised that they are still together. Look at mary kay latourneau and her samoan husband she started having sex with at 12 as his teacher. When younger people have these types of relationships early on in life(it seems no one can say for sure when woody and soon yi began hooking up), it can change things fundamentally in terms of their life course.
Yuck! I wish this pervert would just go away. Marrying his stepdaughter? That’s just sick. I bet he molested Soon-Yi too when he was still married to her mom.
WHEW….yeah, not a fan at all(except for purple rose of cairo–I find woody allen pawing at various nubile actresses as of late revolting), but GLAD to find out their TWO kids are ADOPTED!!! No need to continue the cycle of creepy.
