Gossip Girl Turned Reality TV Show
Casting call fliers for a “Gossip Girl reality TV series” are currently being handed out in Manhattan neighborhoods. Spies over at TV Guide spotted fliers being handed out on the Upper West Side.
Here’s what the casting flier says:
“Are you the real Gossip Girl? Maybe an adorable Seth Cohen (The O.C.) prepster who hates TV? Either way, we’d love to chat with you. We’re looking for NYC prep-schoolers for a reality show [to air on] a major youth-oriented network.”
MTV? The CW? Nickelodeon?
WHAT DO YOU THINK about a Gossip Girl reality tv series — HIT or FLOP?

must they ruin every show with an idiotic reality counterpart. at least their turning away from my neighborhhood, those of us that actually live in the REAL orange county are getting tired of it. my condolences to all those non attention whores in NYC, cuz you are next. and trust me it sux!!!
unfortunately it would be a hit.
gossip girl is too good, don’t ruin it with real stuff.
it might be phenomenally lame & get old fast, but i never underestimate how stupid people are so i’m saying hit, unfortunately.
well if it turns out to be like laguna season 3.then it’ll definitely be a FLOP! too much bitching and drama is -.-

THAT IS A TOTAL FLOP! is going to suck because everybody loves the TV serie and that thing is going to mess up the gossip girl franchise is going to be CRAZYYY!!! nobody would understand :(

FLOP. The only people who would actually participate would be the non-Waldorf/van der Woodsen/Archibald types, because the actual old money families wouldn’t want their kids exposing their secrets. So we’ll get stuck with a bunch of posers who just happen to go to NYC private schools and are, let’s face it, either nouveau riche or no riche, and thus less scandalous and fun to watch.

I guess it should just stick to the TV Series.

no i think they should just stick with the tv series
flop for sure. I think the tv series is succesful and all, but teaching
kids who are going to watch this about a reality gossip girl, BIG MISTAKE. This will be taken too far and teach kids the wrong way
of how to socialize or make friends. At least with the series it is
fictional, but coming through with this, will change some of the viewers
minds or maybe even actions. Unfortunatley, i think people are willing
to watch anything these days, but it is a horrible idea.

hey, i’m not sure..i love the show but i don’t really like reality shows. but people were willing to watch “I love inflammatory diseases”..oh I mean “I love New York”, so you never know what the world is ready for!
gossip girl is the best
I live on the UES and the idea of these people being nurtured or publicized more than they already are, makes me want to go to givenchy and puke on everyone.
Just sounds like the prep school version of Laguana Beach…..It’s gonna suck.

the viral facebook casting solicitations say that the producers themselves went to the very schools that Constance Billard is supposed to mimic. def. a HIT.

Huge flop! I love the normal TV series. If they put a reality TV series of Gossip Girl, I WILL kill the creators! :)
