Yes, you’re right. HP won’t have too much of an impact on Jumper but it MIGHT have a little because there are quite a few people who are chomping at the bit to see how the filmmakers are going to handle the huge events in that book even though it doesn’t come out until November. Since there isn’t any books, those HP fans only have the films now. Indy 4 is huge because there hasn’t been and Indiana Jones flick in over 10 years. That MIGHT steal some of the excitement because of that fact alone despite the fact it doesn’t come out until May. Then The Dark Knight I think, repeat I THINK, comes out in July and since the trailer was released last month people’s jaws have dropped due to the fact it at least looks as if Heath Ledger CAN play the original Joker from the comic books and MIGHT beat out Nickelson for the best Joker which makes it huge enough for the buzz even though it doesn’t come out until the summer. So, people’s attention is divided among all these. The good thing for Jumper is the fact it comes out February and doesn’t really have to compete with these films at the box office. Jumper could get slaughtered by them if it wasn’t coming out in February even though it looks like it has a pretty decent story. Then there’s the fact it comes out on February 14th. Valentine’s Day. Not a day of the year that’s really known for action flicks or too many people going to the movies. It’s a day more infamous for the romantic, fancy dinners and couples staying home or people in general just staying home and hibernating because they don’t want to see all the couples because they aren’t with anyone at that moment. I honestly don’t know how it’s going to turn out for Jumper. It’s always a gamble and despite all that which was mentioned, it might overcome it or none of it has any effect on it whatsoever. All I really know is it’ll be interesting to see how it all turns out.

He was nominated for a Golden Globe for LAAH, and I think he was nominated under a couple of other award organizations. I think he could have easily been nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar for LAAH. I wish he was nominated for some awards on Shattered Glass. He deserved it.

No it’s not. He’s only 26 and hasn’t done more than a dozen movies. There are a number of great actors out there that haven’t been nominated or have never won, if they were nominated. I think the Oscars are very political and in many cases, it’s about timing and momentum. Don’t get me wrong; I think the people who won their Oscars deserve it, but not winning it or not being nominated doesn’t mean anything.

In fact, some of the best actress winners haven’t done anything great since they won their Oscar. I don’t think it’s that big of deal in the long run.

Hayden appears to not pick projects to get Oscars. He’s said many times, he picks things that are different or original or whatever.

Now that I see. He’s too talented and yes, I think one day, it could definitely happen. But I don’t think his career will end if he doesn’t.

GET ONE! you also played as David a while back. and you are definatley in denial of Hayden and Rachel being together. it’s been about 4 weeks since we haven’t seen anything on Rachel nor Hayden.Rachel isn’t in LA and Hayden is in Canada hiding out and Rachel is right with him for sure. Give it up by saying who knows,and stop saying this thread should be only about Jumper because This topic is gonna switch to the both of them,and I don’t think the movie will do too good in the theater,sorry! and yes,I have changed my mind and opinion on the two of them.They’re dating,and who needs proof,THE PROOF IS RIGHT BEFORE YOUR EYES! hello,wake up people!!!!!!

I may not care for Jen all the much now but, you brought the battle out and I don’t give a rat’s f*ck if Rachel is down on the farm with Hayden. You can think what you want for all I care. Like, I have said before. If, Hayden is with Rachel and they are an item then, I wish Hayden the best of luck. He’s going to need it now being with Rachel. Thank you! I should have thought to report that as well. Well, you did and that is good. That is not fair to Kaylen. Not one bit and this thread is about Kaylen.
@ Princess, I don’t know what to think about Jumper? I guess we have to wait and see until it comes out and how well it will do. It has a lot of action and Hayden is athletic enough. The release date seems like a bad time to me. I do hope Jumper does do well. I thought FG and Awake were both good films too.

It was no problem at all. No, it’s not fair to his sister. Not fair at all. Like I said, there was this other girl on a different thread that it happen to as well. I actually contacted her on myspace and she didn’t even know this site existed! You could tell by how freaked out she was. I had to report that one after that too. Apparently that sort of thing is becoming a much bigger problem. It’s one thing to post here or any other site like this for yourself and just to have a little fun online but you just don’t do that to other people. People need to start being a little more cautious of people posting contact info on these board because of that from now on. It’s becoming more and more where that contact info isn’t really for the person you talked to on the board. It’s heinous. Urgh!
