Jolie plays Christine Collins, a mother whose prayers are met when her kidnapped son is returned. But amidst the frenzy of the photo-op reunion, she realizes this child is not hers. Facing corrupt police and a skeptical public, she desperately hunts for answers, only to be confronted by a truth that will change her forever. Los Angeles, 1928: On a Saturday morning in a working-class suburb, Christine said goodbye to her son, Walter, and left for work. When she came home, she discovered he had vanished. A fruitless search ensues, and months later, a boy claiming to be the nine-year-old is returned. Dazed by the swirl of cops, reporters and her conflicted emotions, Christine allows him to stay overnight. But in her heart, she knows he is not Walter.As she pushes authorities to keep looking, she learns that in Prohibition-era L.A., women don’t challenge the system and live to tell their story. Slandered as delusional and unfit, Christine finds an ally in activist Reverend Briegleb (John Malkovich), who helps her fight the city to look for her missing boy. Based on the actual incident that rocked California’s legal system, Changeling tells the shocking tale of a mother’s quest to find her son, and those who won’t stop until they silence her.
The Changeling is set for a November 7th, 2008 release.

I’m just catching up and saw the thread over at Pretzel’s site about the e-mail that woman sent. I would never want someone like that looking after my grandparents - that woman is stupid AND hateful. I highly doubt that a woman like that is contributing to an ‘atmosphere of caring and respect’ that her employer is trying to provide.
What I find most insulting about the post from the anonymous JP fan, that has been copied to this thread, is the assumption that we ALL write hateful comments/e-mails here and elsewhere. Well, guess what? YOU’RE WRONG! I can only speak for myself in saying that I don’t write anything that I would be embarassed to own up to in public under my real name. It’s naive to assume that the internet automatically grants you anonymity, as we have all witnessed. Anyone writing hateful and homophobic rhetoric from their place of employment deserves to be fired, and anyone who would be embarassed to have their comments exposed publicly should perhaps reconsider what they are saying from behind their computer screen. It looks like an ordinary piece of jewelry that as Jolie stated on Larry King, contained a dab of her husband’s blood - it kept them close through the several thousand miles that would separate them when filming in various faraway locales. Not unlike the time-honored old tradition of kids becoming ‘blood brothers,’ or ‘blood sisters,’ — pricking fingers and pledging closeness - yet this is one more instance where whatever has been associated with this young woman is exaggerated into that which is denigrating. would think she was guilty of killing people in her car, drug posession, DUIs, Reckless driving, or assault - as are many of the other young actresses in Hollywood, who are dogged far LESS for far WORSE. Why is that? The psychology of why we like to demean those people that prove to be our betters lies at the heart of this kind of schizoid treatment by our yellow press. To see a reputable news organization falling prey to tabloid garbage and regurgitating it to save time, and to join in the bashing, is not only a disappointment - it’s an utterly stupid and reckless thing to do. Mr. Large should hope that Ms. Jolie has better things to do than force him to be a better journalist.

They showed some footage of the movie..a scene where the monster rises out of the water..but the monster had Aniston’s face. LOL. Mean but funny.

Coal, oh yeah he was really good in Face/Off. I don’t know what is it about him, but I just adore him. I totally agree with you on John Woo, he is a great director. Hey maybe they should do a Gone in 60 Seconds 2 and have John Woo direct, well am dreaming any but it would be awesome lol
