Mischa Barton Arrested for DUI, Drugs

Mischa Barton was arrested for DUI early Thursday morning, reports gossip blog Hollyscoop.

The former O.C. actress was handcuffed on the corner of La Cienega and Santa Monica Blvd. in in West Hollywood, Calif. and taken into a police station at 3AM.

Mischa, 21, was driving a white Range Rover with a suspended license. She’s still in custody right now, being held on $10,000 bail.

UPDATE: Mischa reportedly was in possession of illegal narcotics at the time of the arrest. Surprise, surprise!

Shame that she’s doing this to her career. She was really good in her early movies (including Lawn Dogs).
I saw the movie Closing the Ring and it wasn’t really good, surprising considering it was directed by Richard Attenborough and co-stars Shirley MacLaine as the older version of Barton. She showed some potential there, but the script let her down.

i think the only surprised people are a few million 13 year olds. her career will hardly be ruined but it certainly won’t be great either. after a few more years of failed films & producers realizing she’s no box office attraction, it’ll be lots of tv movies & straight to dvd features for her. only 21 and already a has-been.

i’m sorry, she’s just talentless. you know you’re bad when people keep pointing to 2 films you did as a kid (lawn dogs, lost & delirious) as the only time you ever showed any kind of potential.
