Brad & Angelina: Pip, Pip, Cheerio!
Parents-of-four Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie browse at a baby store on Magazine Street called Pippen Lane in New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday morning.
Two male assistants/bodyguards helped Brad & Angie carry their purchases back to their white Hybrid car.
Founded in 1998, Pippen Lane is a whimsical emporium that specializes in children’s clothing, footwear, unique toys & gifts, high quality furniture and other items for children of all ages from Europe and beyond.

It is the number Brad said over a week ago. When he commits to something, he really, 100% commits. Staying in NO, shopping, going to activities, He is amazing. guli –I loved the clip from last night. He was interviewed by Diane Sawyer, just after break up with GP. He was absolutely gorgeous, but I prefer him today. So rugged, so natural, so cool. Back then the boyishness was really that…he was still a boy!

She might be pregnant. She has been wearing that coat a lot. If you see her pictures before she announced her last pregnancy you can see that she was wearing buggy clothes every single day. This is just an observation: I think she is great pregnant or not.

Off topic: Did any of you see I Am Legend? Saw it last night at the local IMAX and the four of us were really disappointed. It’s like they suddenly decided they needed to throw in an ending. And how many times can you have a zombie jumping out at you without getting bored? Beowulf was worth seeing at the IMAX, but I Am Legend was a bust. As my friend put it, “It’s an interesting premise, but poorly executed.”

I know you all are sick of the hat but it did serve its purpose. All those kind of hats are sold out on the MIK website so his subtle marketing ploy benefitted the people of New Orleans. Which was his whole point. Very smart on his part.

I looked at their website which only seems to carry a limited number of things for children. From the photos they seem to carry a lot more stuff in their stores. Teir merchandise does seem to be on the expensive side.

I saw it last week in a regular theater and I, too, was disappointed.
Although I’m not a fan, I was impressed at how well WS held my attention when it was only him and the dog. But there were some inconsistencies in the screenplay that bothered me. For example, the red car. I get that it was supposed to be a visual counterpoint to the previous scene of Emma Thompson talking about the cancer cure, but for the duration of the film, WS was driving around in the SUV. Where did the red car go?
And when he was playing golf. Sometimes, it looked like he was teeing off on land, but then there were other times when it looked like he was teeing off of a aircraft carrier or barge. How could he get on a barge or aircraft carrier? Why would he stay in the city if there was military equipment/facilities that he could’ve hid out on?
I’m overthinking it, I know, but some of the things bothered me.

Just wanted to point out to you that it was an extremely silly comment — which, of course, you have every right to make. This couple would be delighted if the paparazzi stayed out of their faces. More than two years after Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans, tourists can still drive by devastated areas and witness the destruction as if it had just happened.
Federal money is trickling in at a slow rate and critics have assailed the government’s response, estimating that just $35 billion was earmarked for long-term rebuilding. Residents in the city’s poorer neighborhoods like the Lower 9th Ward have struggled to navigate HUD and FEMA bureaucratic waters.
Worse yet, some of the federally bankrolled projects had little oversight, leading to charges of fraud and mismanagement.
There are some heart-warming stories emerging from the morass. Movie star Brad Pitt is flexing his humanitarian muscles in a noble effort to do what the federal government should do — resurrect New Orleans from the rubble.
“It’s going to take a long time to address the issues here, but this is a viable, viable start,” said Pitt, who calls his project Make it Right.
Pitt plans to rebuild 150 homes in the Lower 9th Ward, where less than 10 percent of the population has returned since the hurricane. He’s committing $5 million to the rebuilding and placed his lucrative film career on hold and moved to New Orleans to lead his recovery project.
Besides the financial backing, Pitt has talked with
residents as they described their needs.
Pitt’s houses are eye-catching and unique and will make a substantial contribution to the community. More important, they’re affordable and environmentally friendly.
Brad Pitt is using his wealth and celebrity status to shine a spotlight where it’s needed. Perhaps the federal government should take notes.

By the way, i have been checking the other sites for the past few days (i am home on vacay), and not one of them posted the link or article about AJ being #1 most respected celebrity activist but they continue to post old interviews and articles, trying to twist her words. their agenda is so obvious, it’s embarrassing.
Finally - they’ve been driving hybrids for a while now - this is not a new thing for them. They were previously using Chevy Tahoe ZLT’s with flex-fuel capabilities. The Escape Hybrids are especially efficient however (not to mention really nice rides).

HI - just read your post and it made me think of a heater I saw on QVC or HSC — can’t remember which. Anyway, it is not a regular electric heater with bars that get hot - it was kind of like a convection heater or something - took in the cool air - circulated it and kept a room at an even temp. They advertized it as cool to the touch so no burning and also could not start a fire. Sorry I can’t give you a name or price but maybe another poster saw the show and knows more about it. Or go on QVC and HSC and type in heaters and see if something comes up like I just described. Phew - that was long winded - sorry.

Hiya fans, and thanks for the new thread JJ. These pics for some reason remind me how nice it would be to see a sequel to Mr and Mrs Smith. I know I know the rule for the family is set: one parent always is with the kids, while the other is working.
tabitha, I have a Lasko heater at home, there are several types of it, blows hot air and is never too hot to touch. I paid $25. It is currently on actually, and one of my cats has cuddled close to it, so no burning. It did not turn to be as efficient (utility bill wise) as I expected, but then the temp here was lower than the last year here. The only mishap was I blew up the power grid of the house just before the Xmas eve. Not because of the heater per se, but an overloading use of different gadgets at the same time; still this may be something to keep in mind in your decision.

#205, i think jill is correct in this. i was reading comments on popsugar last week, and one of the posters said she was recently in NO. she tried looking for their house and asked the locals, who on two separate occasions, directed her to a house where she took pictures, and which turned out both times to be the wrong house. seems to me, the people are trying to protect their privacy as much as they are able to.

Gawd, I late. I had to catch up on the previous. Congratulations to Angie for being named top humanitarian. Reuters didn’t tell us, the fans, anything we didn’t know. I like were they say she doesn’t bring cameras whit her. Unlike a certain man, GC, who brought cameras and wore, if I am not mistaken a safari vest. All he needed was a sound track. There are serious issues with Tiger Woods’ donations since they mostly consist of his foundations which collect a lot of money but only end up donating a tiny fraction to any charitable work. Tiger’s money mostly goes to funding “charitable” golf tournaments with very lucrative purses for the winning golfers.
So needless to say you need to read that list with a very jaundiced eye.

Your information about Tiger Woods is inaccurate and you need to get your facts straight. The money Tiger collects through his Tiger Woods Foundation GOES TO FUND THE TIGER WOODS LEARNING CENTER HE HAS IN CALIFORNIA NOT TO FUND GOLF TOURNAMENTS WITH LARGE PAYOUTS. He also funds educational grants for underprivileged children. He does in fact host a golf tournament, a regular tour event that was added to the schedule this year to replace a tournement who’s funding fell through. The proceeds of this tournament go to his foundation, but the purse for the tournament, which is in Washington, DC, is provided by a corporate sponsor, the PGA of America itself, and tv revenues paid to the foundation through the PGA of America. Tiger also has a second tournament that’s SPONSORED BY, ie PAID FOR BY, TARGET and that’s a limited field event that does have rather substantial purses, BUT the purse money does not come from his foundation. And BTW, Tiger usually ends up winning this tournament and then he turns around and gives the money BACK to his foundation.
If you go to the Tiger Woods Foundation website (http://www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org) you can read the list of corporate sponsors for both the foundation AND the golf tournament. They include a lot of the corporations that Tiger has endorsement deals with - Buick, American Express,Target, etc. You will also find a link for his learning center that describes the work they do. He opened this center last year just after his father had passed away and he cried like a baby because the center was his father’s dream and it, moreso than golf, is the legacy Earl Woods wanted for his son.
So, please do not denigrate Tiger’s foundation WITHOUT THE FACTS. His father spent a good portion of the latter years of his life running the foundation and getting the learning center together. You do a disservice to not only Tiger, but his father, by stating that Tiger does nothing with his Foundation’s money but give it away to his millionaire buddies for hitting a little round ball around the park for 4 hours.

4Q, a friend and I went to see it when it first came out. I truly don’t know what all of the fuss is about. You are correct TAOJJ was so more a better movie. My friend and I left the movie totally baffled. My question was what was the point of this movie? It is so violent. I don’t understand the fascination with this movie. Seriously…I HOWLED with laughter. Like usual THE NE COVER IS A COMPLETE HOAX. The cover proclaims X is knocked up and here are the 3 likely culprits. HOWEVER…the very first thing in the article is X excitedly telling her “friends” (read the Coquettes or the Goddess Circle, your choice) that she’s “GOING to have a baby!”
Only here’s the deal - SHE IS NOT CURRENTLY PREGGERS…JUST THINKING ABOUT GETTING PREGGERS! I effin’ kid you not. That’s the gist of the entire article. Here are the lowlights -
- X is staring at the big 3-9 in February and wants a kid before she turns the even bigger 4-0. She got plenty of dough…she thinks the time is right, blah, blah, blah…
- Because Cinderella apparently wants her uter#s back when X turns 4-0, X has to have a baby by then or she’ll be shattered.
- To that end, X is weighing her baby opions: Adoption ain’t for her, sp#rm donors is impersonal…so she’s gonna do it the old-fashioned way…BUT…
- What unlucky dumb fcuker can she get to scr#w her without him using 6 cond#ms, 2 sp#rmicides and making her pledge on a bible that she’s on birth control?
- Well, Let the NE fill in that blank for ya….
a. Vince Vaughn - her maybe gaybe, on again/off again fake romance for the last 2 years
b. Paul Sculfor - her maybe gaybe but definitely for hire to the highest bidder summer stud-muffin and Dumbwater sales assistant
c. Jason Lewis - Who, according to sister pub the Star, is currently shacking up with X on the QT and took X to meet his ‘rents over the X-mas holidays. (Yep, that’s right…The same Jason Lewis who just last year proclaimed Angelina Jolie as his dream woman. Jason subscribes to the theory that all current romantic roads to Angelina Jolie lead through X’s abode, therefore, he’ll close his eyes and make do until Angie realizes that X’s new man is better than her old man. However, Mr. Lewis DOES have a contingency plan. Should Angelina not take notice of this within a sufficient amount of time to prevent him from having to make a long-term commitment to X, Mr. Lewis is prepared to give up his dream woman AND RUN as fast and as far from X as he can. What, pray tell is a “sufficient amount of time”? About a month. Mr. Lewis figures it’ll take Ms. Jolie about 29 days to remember Brad has an ex-wife.)
d. Brad Pitt - Yeah, Brad thought he was in the clear on this one, but as it turns out…according to the NE if Brad and Angie break up, X would probably be willing to take him back and they can FINALLY have that kid that X was too busy with her career to give him when they were married. Apparently no one at the NE watched Charlie Rose where Brad obliquely implied - actually he pretty much said it outright - that he knew he’d have kids “WHEN THE TIME WAS RIGHT…AND OBVIOUSLY I THINK NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME”…and NOT when he was with X. Owwwwiieee….
- Now that X has her possible sp#rm donors lined up, all she has to do is decide which lucky guy will get to see his genes merged with hers for the rather scary prospect of the following progeny:
a. Vince Vaughn - X is concerned that with VV’s, er, shall we say…tendency toward corpulence, that her child will be both homely AND pudgy.
b. Paul Sculfor - With PMBP’s good looks X’s only concern is…HER lack of good looks. After all…you can’t give newborns rhinoplasty.
c. Jason Lewis - Once again, HIS good looks are not the issue. BUT…X is thrilled that HIS blue eyes are real. She was rather dreading having to fit her wee one with widdle tiny bwue contact wenses. Can’t have that Greek heritage showing through, now can we?
d. Brad Pitt - Really…what more can be said about Brad Pitt’s looks. But…let’s combine his features with X’s:
= Brad: chiseled jaw, but oversized nostrils…and frankly he’s had his ears pinned since he first arrived in L.A., full lower lip, beautiful baby blue eyes
= X: big, oblong head; Big, meaty schnoz, low forehead that she’s had the hairline moved BACK on, long jaw that ends in a point, but not as bad as Reese Witherspoon’s, thin lips with a slight mustache (she really needs to get that bikini waxer take a look at that), an unfortunate tendency to listen to old country songs about turning brown eyes blue…
= Brad + X: Now, let’s examine what the resulting child would look like - nah…just kidding…there are some jokes even I find “HIGHLY disgusting”…and truthfully…I haven’t been sleeping too well at night and I really don’t need to add wakemares to my insomnia problem…
- NE goes on to say that X is currently thinking hard about her 4 sp#rm dono choices and will be making a decision soon because Cinderella wants her uter#s back AND she wants her kid to be able to play with and grow up with the slightly older children of her bestest pals, including Courteney & Sheryl Crow. I don’t really have a joke for this section…but I found it rather curious that for someone who supposedly has so damned many friends…how come the tabs only ever mention these two? Just saying…
- For all of you guys who were afraid that X would be raising an only child…fear not! That’s right…X wants TWO kids, but no more than that. She says leave the child herding to Brad & Angie. You know…that seems fair, cuz there are TWO OF THEM…and she IS gonna have to be a single mother. Cuz really…even $110MIL isn’t enough dough to make a man put up with a neurotic, whiney, self-involved, too small bikini wearing, twat waxing obsessed, famewh#re with delusional tendencies involving the word “Oscar” but not “Mayer” and “Weiners”.

Banff? Exactly when was this? In 2005 when Brad was filming AOJJ? Because the whole family hasn’t been to Canada at anytime in 2007. Brad was in Montreal filming CCOBB for 4 days in the summer and he and Angie went to TIFF for 1 day. They then spent the rest of summer in Europe, LA, Chicago & NYC. Let’s see if that holds true for BAR. It seems their “serious” movies get a lot more respect from the general public than their comedies. Critics generally love anything they do, though.
to the poster who is commenting that brad seems to be wearing the same thing over and over again, i think brad has reached a point in his career where he has earned the right to dress how he feels. he is a father to four small kids, and seem more comfortable dressing in casual and durable clothes, where he does not have to bother if one of his kids spills something on him. as we see, he is a hands on dad, and i think the last thing he thinks about when one of the kids want to held is his clothing. added to the fact he says they live a nomadic lifestyle, and packing enough clothing for the children takes precedence over the parents clothing. he has stated on numerous occasions, it is no longer about him, his children are his priority.
nothing looks sillier than parents dressed to the nines going to the park or anywhere else with their children.( tom cruise and katie come to mind). brad and angie can bring it on when needed, we have seen that. although i think jen garner totally pimps her daughter out, she dresses the part when hanging with her.

Brad, Angie, Mad, and Z were all in Japan together at end of Nov/beginning of Dec 2005 . They all flew there after Thanksgiving from Pakistan where Angie and Brad visited earthquake victims (Brad’s first trip with Angie for her UNHCR work), US army field hospital helping the victims, and visited the president of Pakistan. Brad bought $100,000 worth of special orthopedic beds for earthquake victims in Pakistan. The first pixs of the family deplaning in Japan showed Brad holding Z so protectively and kissing her little head, Angie holding Mad’s hand as they walked throught the airport terminal, while hundreds of flashes went off. The crowd waiting to greet them went wild.

I did not say that I saw them, I read it somewhere and just repeated what I remember reading because I thought it was so odd. The timeframe sorta fit the time when no one saw them for about a month. Now I have no way of verifying this, it is just a rumor/gossip like much on the internet.

Can I interject another idea here? I hate shopping with a passion. When I do find something I like and feel comfortable in I will buy 3 or 4 of them. So I may wear a certain blouse for a long time but it’s not the same one, I am rotating through several of them. I am not wearing the same stinky shirt over and over again.
However my friends too get tired of seeing me in the same thing. I had one favorite blue striped shirt that one of friends swore to rip off my back and burn if I wore again.
So I can definitely sympathize with Brad finding favorites and sticking with them.

Anyhoo…thanks. Earl Woods’ life was probably prolonged by a year or two because he was so determined to get that center up and running before his health really cr@pped out on him. And yes, Tiger DOES make a ton of money, but he puts a lot of heart and soul AND money into his foundation and learning and for people to dismiss it out of ignorance of the true pupose of the foundation is pretty damned arrogant.
Tiger’s a good guy and he’s not all about golf and money. As was said about Brad, “His mama raised him right.”
Now if they can get photgraphed getting beignets and drinking chicory coffee at the Cafe du Monde, what a boost……..

ROTFL. Aeon - aside from being lazy, my biggest problem? I have NO AMBITION TO BE A WRITER. None. Zilch. I used to write fics…wouldn’t call them “fanfics”…cuz they were anti-fanfics! LOL. Okay. I was just curious because, excuse me, but…I really don’t think they were there. The ratzi were on them pretty hardcore after Marcheline died and we had photos darned near every day. There has NOT a time this year when the J-Ps have been underground for a full month without ANYONE at all seeing either Brad or Angie. Back in the Spring not more than 1 or 2 days would go by without a photo, but I doubt they’d take 4 kids to Banff for a 1 day outting.
Still…Don’t you wish you had a dime for everytime someone claims to have seem them somewhere?

I saw No country for old men two weeks ago and I’m still upset about the time and money I wasted watching this movie. At the end of the movie everyone there was sitting in shock and a lot of people said they wanted a refund. I usually like movies made by the Coen brothers but this one totally sucked. It’s been two weeks and I’m still mad that I went. I went on a blog about this movie and saw many comments stating they thought it was the worst movie ever. I just felt that there was no point to this movie, and I’m an avid movie goer. I was surprised that it has been nominated for a few awards. Clearly someone has been hitting the sauce a little too much. Another blogger commented that everyone saying it was terrible are just cry babies and that this movie is the first of a trilogy. I might watch the rest of the trilogy if I see it at the dollar store just to satisfy the curiosity, but I am not paying more than a dollar for it.

You know what, talent is talent. But I understand. However, someone should be paying you some beaucoup dollars for those comments. Now, you know they are stealing from you and going back to their rags and making it like its their own. How many times have you posted a snarky comments here and a few days later it’s an a rag? Burns me to no end using us fans as their soundingboard and/or for an original idea. Lazy mother***ers, can’t come up with a rational thought of their own they have to steal for it. Okay enough rantings…back to the business lurking….
I keep going back to look at these pics. Doesn’t Angie look absolutely gorgeous? Her skin is just flawless and glowing and I bet she doesn’t have a lick of make-up on, that’s just her. She looks so happy and rested, I bet she’s glad her film has wrapped and she got to relax and hang with her kids. She’s glowing.
And Brad looks just like what he is: a man who is reveling in being a dad. He’s dressed so that he can roll around with his kids at a moment’s notice. They can drool, dribble, and get sticky fingers all over him and he’s not gonna care.
Can you tell I admire these two a bit?
