Brad & Angelina: Pip, Pip, Cheerio!

Parents-of-four Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie browse at a baby store on Magazine Street called Pippen Lane in New Orleans, Louisiana on Friday morning.

Two male assistants/bodyguards helped Brad & Angie carry their purchases back to their white Hybrid car.

Founded in 1998, Pippen Lane is a whimsical emporium that specializes in children’s clothing, footwear, unique toys & gifts, high quality furniture and other items for children of all ages from Europe and beyond.

Top 10 places to go in 2008
5. New Orleans
Many have already returned to New Orleans since Katrina, but recent events give every indication that 2008 is poised to be the best year the city has seen since the hurricane. Combine a rebuilding boom with powerhouse couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie moving in to the French Quarter and a revitalized Canal Street beckoning musicians and ramblers back to its pretty riverside promenade, and you’ve got the makings of a fully revitalized city. Plus, with the some of the nation’s most-beloved festivals getting underway in the first part of the year (Mardi Gras in February and Jazz Fest in late April–early May) it’s easy to make the Big Easy a must this year to listen to the best live music around, sample superb Creole cuisine, embrace the fun-loving local attitude, and herald the rebirth of one of the country’s most storied and fascinating cities.

Sam -

Larry King’s interview drew a lot of people watching. If it’s not good, CNN would not put in another hour, and another hour. Use common sense. It’s business, CNN is not dumb.

As for Regis & Kelly, you dont have the website to quote stat. In fact, it was us who supplied you the cable number link.

Sambo, I know you’re at us mag site, looks like you’re very frustrated with those people there, because they dont dance to your tune.!!. Dont worry, the way it goes, Huvane will continue your employment for another year, that I’m sure.

Yeah - I missed #4 — doesn’t look sad to me - just sort of looking at something - if he had a grin on his face all the time he would be netted and sent to the funny farm.

JJ, you rock. It is only Friday and you have pictures already of my favorite from Friday morning activity. How awesome. Angie looks great without make-up. I guess they still have after the holidays shopping to do. I went to get bargains at Macy’s myself. Thank you JJ. Keep up the good work. Happy New Year to all JP fans.

Sam needs to take a break.

I think there’s an empty cage waiting for you in the Bronx Zoo. I could call the zookeeper to drive over to your house and pick you up.

Jill - I’ll get the tranquilizer darts ready ;-)

Stop with the silly remarks - they are so not funny and make you sound like you are 6 years old. Grow up.

Here, now, alphabetically, are 10 of its best.

“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”

One of the year’s most surprising trends was a surge in Westerns, with directors taking traditional (”3:10 to Yuma”) and modern approaches (”No Country for Old Men,” “There Will Be Blood”). It was only Andrew Dominik’s literate movie, however, that chose to look at the genre itself, examining mythmaking and the dangerously seductive images of male power. Finely acted by Brad Pitt as the hair-trigger James and Casey Affleck as the resentful Ford, its real star was Roger Deakins’ cinematography, effortlessly invoking the faded 19th century.

10. The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford — It takes patience to sit through a nearly three-hour film, but those who do are rewarded here with a quiet, enlightening meditation on what makes a legend. Brad Pitt puts in a terrific performance as America’s most famous outlaw, but Casey Affleck steals the spotlight as his fame-obsessed murderer, Robert Ford.
