In the film, Chicago librarian Henry DeTamble (Eric Bana) has a genetic disorder that causes him to time travel when he is stressed. Though he disappears often for long periods of time, he tries to build a romantic relationship with artist Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams). Ron Livingston plays Gomez, the librarian’s friend and a liberal attorney who works for nonprofit organizations.

Rachel McAdam is perfect for this role. She’s one of the young HW actresses who can really act. great potential!!!

21, Jennifer wouldnt suit this role. She has that stiff face look about her that doesnt really make it believeable for me that she’s really playing the role of a woman in love-watch any of her movies since Friends. I think she’s still bitter about Ang and Brad. She did spend new years in Mexico FOLLOWING Courtney and David. How annoying it must be for David!
Plus Jennifer is too old for the role and has never been considered.
Love Bana but McAdams is so wrong.She is not pretty and she cant act.
I love Eric Bana and when I heard that he was going to be in this movie, I bought the book. I love this book and can’t wait to see the movie.

Oh god, not another Toronto film! I rarely can stand any made here. It usualy means the ‘money’ people are calling all the shots. The cast and help are 99% Canadian using the same small pool of Canadian actors over and over, secretly sneering at the ‘American stars’ of the film. A move to film up here is a move to compromise. If I was an American in the business I wouldn’t mind it if Canada was offering something other than a cheaper dollar (usually) and a generic looking American city. Other Torontonians may like recognising local landmarks but I don’t. I think it just makes these films look cheep.

Neil(#43) I hope to hell you’re wrong about this one, but it is almost always the case. And I too hate recognising locations and such, it takes so much from the film imo.

Rachel is one of the best actress of her generation. More than the overrated knightley.
I’m excited to see Rachel McAdams as Clare! She isa great actress, even from an early age! My previous drama teacher used to be hers as well, and he told us stories :P (I live in the same city as where she was born, and find connections all over the place)
I would like to know the specifics about how Jennifer Aniston lost
this part in this movie. I had heard that Jennifer Aniston was all
set to do this movie, a long time ago. How was she named for
it in the first place. Did she find the script for it, and then take it to
Brad and say, “Hey, Brad, this script is so cute. I wanna do it. O.k?
Make if happen for me, and then you won’t have to buy me anything fancy for my birthday, this year. Let me do “The Senator’s Wife,”
and you won’t have to get me anythinng for Christmas….and so on.
