Why do I care?

Okay lets see, Colin you have mentioned a few times about him being a role model for young people. I don’t get the impression that he wants to be a role model for the young. I think he enjoys acting. Simple. You can tell by the roles that he chooses that he’s not out to reach out to young people, other wise he would be all over Disney movies.( I have wanted to say that for a while now) but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t care for others.

No, your right he doesn’t “own” me any money, and also will he never remember my name, in fact he will probably never know my name, lets be realistic, but why would I want to see all these comments on him, they are rude disrespectful and just hateful. It’s not my place to say anything negative or maybe embarrassing about a person I don’t know. It’s part of being an adult, having inhabitions…towards yourself and others. So when I read these comments it upsets me makes me wonder where do people get the nerve? I probably will never know or understand. But I will not speak poorly of others and thats just how I personally feel, me alone (by the look of some of these comments).

And when did a person have to get something in return to care about someone else? So I may not know the guy…but do I wish him ill will? NO! I know he’s not “spotless” nor am I (far from it too) but who is? I see faults in people, including him, and recognize them, but why are people so wrapped up in the small stuff? This whole post from jared was about him showing the middle finger, look how far it has gone. Really? All this…including my post. I have now become one of you just because I said I cared. Its a damn shame.

I wish I could say more about all of this but honestly, no one listens or cares what I have to say. Plus, writting doesn’t convey the right tone (or maybe it’s just not my niche).

I feel with all I have written I now owe an explanation as to why I am here and why I have posted this comment so there are no questions later as there seems to be so many. I am here a fan (go figure). I enjoy Gerard Butler’s work. I posted this comment because there is so much going on right now and everyone is making a big deal about nothing. So, he looks old, he looks drunk, he’s on drugs…that’s all a matter of opinion at this point. Does it need to be said? Some of you feel that it does. Do you feel better now? Sure freedom of speech, yada yada yada…

Some things are just better left unsaid. Ever heard that one?

Not wanting to be a role model for the young, but he wouldn’t mind asking his fans no matter what age to donate to charity in his name–and welcome to a society where even Britney Spears is being held up to being a popular star to perhaps be likes.

Didn’t he mention he wanted to be the voice of the lion in the DISNEY movie The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Nim’s Island still is a DISNEY flick is it not?

If your so upset about these comment why come to a comment page where not everything is Gerard Butler site censored with pretty pictures and people who no doubt bleive his farts smell like pretty flowers.

These photographs do show the ‘bad’ side of a one spotless image given out by his ‘fans’. Though this isn’t a small stuff item when it could be just the start of a larger problem. It started off with cussing-drinking (in his younger days)-smoking and now finger gesturing. What happens next? Punch out a photographer? Not show up on a movie set? Worse?

Okay I don’t understand your first paragraph, Please spend a little more time proof reading, and I’ll get back to that point.

I didn’t know he wanted to be the voice of the lion, this is the first I have heard it. As far as Nim’s Island, what are your feelings towards Jodi Foster? I have to wonder considering her recent acknowledgement towards her lifestyle. Granted, she’s talented and I haven’t heard of her *****************. But does her personality meet your role model expectations. Once again matter of opinion.

I don’t get this whole spotless image everyone talks about. Are you trying to open up his fans eyes? What is it you want them to see? I can assure you I’m not one of the “blind” people. Even if he was provoked, he should have walked away. He made a poor chose in an action. I NEVER disagreed with you. But the start of a larger problem? Is ***************** a gateway to badness?

I see that in spite of all she has to do , colin is still finding the time to moniter this board. you really need to let this go. we all get the fact he is just a human being with all the flaws the rest of us have. but, I still think he is 1 hell of an actor and you will never change my mind about that.

For goodness’ sake, can you all please lighten up? So the guy flips the bird. He also curses like a sailor. He’s not trying to be a role model for anyone. Was any of you there, when the photo was taken? Who knows why he did it. Better yet, who cares? All of you throwing stones, I’m sure, have never flipped off anyone, ever, or even used profanity in any situation (heavy irony intended)…

I do not see why people seem to feel that Gerry Butler needs to be “put in his place”. He is 38 years old and the only person with the right to remind him of his manners would be his mother. I have to admit that I have enjoyed all of this banter back and forth but the putting Gerry in his place is just a dumb remark. I also agree that the people a gb.net do tend to gloss over anything about Gerard. So, he gave someone the finger. Try driving on 95 in the DC area you’ll get it ten times a day and you will also get over it.

I’m sure Colin is now understanding that Gerard Butler is HUMAN. I also do not believe that Gerard did a “bad thing”. I’m sure his throat was just a little scratchy and this was the best way to get his point across in a non-verbal but still very clear way

You also just asked to not be made fun of because you defend colin…that’s hysterical. There does seems to be a bit of information that you left out though. Why are you looking for colin? And what are you going to do once you find out who this person is? Your motives are unclear. And one more question… what do you want me to do? I’m not a tart, I support Gerard Butler and I tried to respect everyones views here without the insults. Everyone wants to be all high and mighty in their actions but look at how everyone reacts to others comments, insults and putdowns. I have yet to do that and twice I’ve been insulted. Play nice.

Didn’t P.S. open in Brazil this weekend? I know we should keep this about the photo , so, I don’t think that I have ever seen such a beautiful execution of the bird in a long while. I give it a 9.9 (no one is perfect darlin’).
